Ships log: #23594
Stardate: January 16, 2508We have been stranded on Planet Drelia for 582 days now. All of my crew have died from some form of leukemia. The captain's wife, Bethany Grace, gave birth to a little girl who seems to be immune to her mother's leukemia. I don't know if it is because she was in utero while her mother had the disease, somehow granting an immunity.
Beth was the first to succumb to the disease, I blame the pregnancy on weakening her immune system. The captain, Zacharia Grace, was the last to perish. I did all I could for my crew to ease their suffering in their final hours. Before she died Beth named the child Eve, short for Evelyn Grace. I have been charged by the captain to watch over the child and I will make it my sole purpose until she is old enough to pilot her and myself off this planet.

Ships log: #23601
Stardate: May 5, 2508I have been watching over the captain's daughter for a few earth months now. The need for sleep being non-existent for A.I.'s grants a bonus for raising a child as it allows for constant surveillance. The ship's synthesizers can create the child's bottles of formula easily enough as well as diapers and outfits.
I have been compiling a core curriculum for the child for when she would have begun school based on the education files downloaded onto the ship's hard drive. Once she finishes these files she can choose a specific "job" for her to train in.
With all of the crew including the captain dead, I am bound to my landing zone by system regulations. Only once the child becomes old enough may I promote her to captain and we can leave this forsaken planet.
End of transmission.

Ships log: #24210
Stardate: September 25, 2532It has been twenty-four years since the death of my crew. Evelyn has grown into an aspiring young woman. She has passed all her curriculum with flying colors, excelling in spatial awareness, mathematical probabilities, and mechanical engineering. Her occasionally prophetic dreams disturb and intrigue both of us.
On her next birthday, she will finally be old enough to be named captain, a title with many confederate regulations, and I may once more take to the stars.

Thank you for reading my story. I am not a good writer so any errors or mistakes that are found will slowly be edited. I don't have a set update time to don't expect scheduled chapter releases.
