This past few days have been amazing
I finally have the girl of my dreams and I couldn't be more happy
Since today is the new years eve we decided to go to my parents house, so we could spend the day all together

2018 is coming to an end
It was a good year after all

When I go outside I find everyone looking at the sky but what catches my attention is the fact that my dad has his arm around Lauren's waist
With a pout I reach them, standing beside Lauren
She pulls me into her arms and mumbles something into my ear
"There's still 10 minutes until the countdown starts. Find an excuse to go inside, I'll reach you in five"
She gives me a kiss under my ear and lets go of me
"I-i have to go to the bathroom"
Once I'm inside I decide to go into the kitchen and wait for Lauren
A few minutes later she enters the room and pulls me into a hug
"10" she starts counting
"9" I continue

As we hear people shout "Happy new year" Lauren pulls me into a kiss
We both can't stop smiling so we break the kiss
"I know it's cliché but I wanted you to be my first kiss of the year" she says while blushing
"Don't be embarrassed, I find it cute" I reply before giving her another kiss
"Happy new year baby girl"
"Happy new year Lo"
2019 here we come
