Maybe Jennifer should have kept that in mind.
But what happens when someone Jennifer considered more than friend turns against her and seeks for revenge?

Liam: Thank you.... anyways I've been meaning to tell you that-
Unknown: what are the two of you doing here, shouldn't you be in class?
Jennifer: uh yeah, we were just leaving.
Liam: we were?
Jennifer: yes, so you'll just have to tell me whatever it was later.
Liam: But.....
Jennifer: later.
After class.
Liam and Lucy sat on the bench by the university's water fountain waiting for the rush in the cafeteria to perish.
Liam: who knew sports could be so tiring?
Lucy: I think everyone.
Liam: It was a rhetorical question but anyways , where's Jenny?
Lucy: How should I know? Do I look a phone or a person that knows everyone's whereabouts??
Liam: wow, so much for asking a simple question.
Lucy's pov. Even though I was sitting right beside him, he still spoke of Jennifer. I thought maybe the holidays and time away from her would make him realize that I'm just as important.
Liam: Lucy, Earth to Lucy?
Lucy: umm, I need to go.
Lucy picked up her belongings and stormed away passing by Jennifer who was walking towards them.
Jennifer: Hey Lucy, where you going?
Jennifer's pov. That was totally absurd, Lucy never turned a deaf ear towards me but today she did.
Liam: Finally Jenny , where have you been??
Jennifer: First of all what have you done to Lucy?
Liam: Nothing at all I just asked a simple question and speaking of questions, I had to ask you something remember?
Jennifer: Oh yeah, go on.
Liam: okay so I don't want to sound cheesy but what I feel for you is already so cheesy. So for the past few years I've been feeling something for you but have never had the guts to tell you.
Jennifer: Liam...do you-
Liam: please let me finish.... So what I'm trying to say is that I love you and I always have, I know that it's weird to love your best friend but-
Jennifer: wait, Liam..... you're my best friend and I honestly don't know......if I feel the same about you. I'm sorry.....
Liam: Oh....that's alright, I'm sorry for trying.......I'll just go.
Jennifer's pov.
I never knew how he felt about me and now that I know....I feel awful for rejecting him, on top of that, he left with tears in his eyes. Just as I was leaving Liam turned around, walked towards me and took out a bouquet of breathtaking roses from his bag.

Liam: I-um...I actually got these for you... I wanted to give them to you as soon as I confessed but I guess I wasn't really ready for rejection.
Jennifer: I'm so sorry Liam, but we'll always be best friends.
Liam: I guess, but will you accept these roses AS a FRIEND.
Jennifer: I'd love to...Listen Liam I don't want you to be upset because of me but trust me, there are lots of amazing girls out there .
Liam: I know that but none of those girls are you.
With saying that Liam walked away heavy heartedly, Jennifer on the other hand felt awful but she knew it would take time for things to go back to the way they were and she would have no choice but to wait.
Liam's pov. Words couldn't describe what I felt the moment Jennifer rejected me , I was more than hurt but I don't have the power to make her fall for me and maybe it's for the best. I didn't show my emotions but I felt like my heart had been ripped out of my bare chest and stepped on repeatedly. I'll move on..........eventually
