Alex: You probably already know this but.....you look amazing.
Lucy: You're such a gentleman and you.....well you look just as good as you always do.
Alex: Gee thanks Lucy. Anyways I got you something.
Lucy: Really? Oh you didn't need to.
Alex: Now what kind of guy would I be if I didn't get my date a gift?
Lucy: That was thoughtful of you but I didn't get you something. (Pfftt as if I'd gift you and gross you're too in love with me, then again, you make it too easy.)
Lucy's pov. He handed me a silver box with a gold bow and inside it was a ring! A- a promise ring. I almost felt touched but I remembered my motive and how much it meant to me, to destroy Jennifer.
Lucy: Aww Alex this is gorgeous. Did Jennifer help you pick this?
Alex: Eh nope.
Lucy: Oh......I guess she doesn't like us being together.
Alex: I wouldn't say that, although she did find it weird, that you want to go out with me. And as for the ring I actually bought it during the homecoming dance.
Lucy: What! That was last year.
Alex: Well you see, I was planning to ask you out and then give you the ring but you rejected me. Remember?
Lucy: OH! Uh - sorry about that, Philips asked me wayyy before you did so yeah.
Alex: Let's not dwell in the past Kay?
Lucy: Sure but what's the ring's purpose?
Alex: Well I want things to go well between us. This ring is like a momentum for you, to remember me, this day and US. It's also a promise from me to you. A promise that I'll be here for you through your worst and best. And a promise that I'll be yours and yours alone.
So tell me Lucy are you willing to take that chance? Will you be my girlfriend?
Lucy's pov I actually have tears in my eyes. Why! I can't catch feelings for him and like I said, I NEED to remember my motive. DESTROYING Jennifer is all that matters.
Lucy: Alex that's so sweet and Yes I'm willing to take this chance and to be your girlfriend.
Alex: Yes, Yes ,Yes!
Alex's pov. I -I can't believe it. Lucy's my girlfriend! I wasn't thinking straight and with one swift move , I scooped Lucy into my arms. She was taken aback but she embraced me . We just stood there in the middle of the park, everyone watching but I didn't care ,that hug meant more to me than a million bucks.
Lucy: I love how you got straight to the point but shall we have a proper date?
Alex: I'd love that.
After the date Alex heads back home. Lucy finds out through Alex what's going on between Liam and Jennifer. A big advantage if you ask me.
Alex: Hey dad.
Mr Morgan: Ah you're back, so tell me son, how was your date?
Alex: I'll tell you everything later but for now where's Jenny?
Mr Morgan: She's in her room, with your mother.
Alex: Thanks dad , I'll just go check on her.

Alex: Hey mom.
Mrs Morgan: Hey back already?
Alex: Yeah, can I talk to Jenny ?
Mrs Morgan : Of course.
Alex: Jenny are you okay?
Jennifer: I've lost my best friends so yeah I'm okay......
Alex: What do you mean by best friends? Are you and Lucy fighting too?
Jennifer: Yeah......
Alex: I'm sure you'll work things out. Now I did some talking and I found out that Liams pretty hurt. He's hurting even more than you are.
Jennifer: What! Weren't you on a date?
Alex: I was and I have a girlfriend now but.....there was traffic on the way back so I did some talking.
Jennifer: Lucy's your girlfriend now??
Alex: Yes, anyways Liam is shattered and I can't blame him. What you did was wrong and yeah, he's made mistakes too, like talking to you like that.
Jennifer: Okay fine. You're right, I wasn't fair on him but-
Alex: There's no but in this Jenny, you can't play victim and all I'm asking is that, you need to learn where people stand in your life. Do you really want to lose him? Or your friendship?
Jennifer: I don't..... I really don't Alex but I can't help it. Everything's going wrong or in a direction I can't stop it from.
Alex: Alright but I know you'll figure it out, you always do.
Jennifer: Thank you Alex, you always help me out and I'm glad to have a younger brother like you.
Alex: You just had to emphasize on the younger part.
Jennifer: Yes and congrats on finally getting your girl.
Jennifer's pov. I hope she isn't going to break your heart.
