SHATTERED BY JEALOUSY...

Chapter Three.

The sun rose bright the next morning.
Jennifer was wide awake since she had spent most of the night twisting and turning.

Jennifer's pov.
Yesterday was a very eventful day , I had higher expectations for my first day at university but I have absolutely no right to complain , since I couldn't have had a worse day than Liam.
I was worried sick the whole night, he hadn't replied to any of my texts.

It was evident he was ignoring me but I can't blame him. I also tried speaking to Lucy but she cut me off faster than a heartbeat.

At this pace, I'm certain I'm losing both my best friends and that hurts.

Jennifer is lost in her thoughts until there's a knock on her door.

Jennifer: Come in.

Mom: Hey....Jenny

Jennifer: Hey mom, why do you look so pale?

Mom: About that...uh Liam's mum called and -

Jennifer: And??

Mom: well they don't know what happened but Liam tried committing suicide.

Jennifer: What!
No- no-no this can't be happening....

Mom: Calm down Jenny ,he's alright .

Jennifer: If he was would she have called you??

Mom: Listen to me Jennifer, he tried to but luckily his parents found him on time. He's okay Jenny,they'll discharge him soon.

Jennifer: Thank God.... but what hospital is he in?

Mom: Kingston Hospital, also Mrs Drew (Liam's mom) has been trying to contact you.

Jennifer: My phone's dead and mum can you please give me a ride to the hospital.

Mom: sure,your brother wants to go as well so I'll be waiting down stairs.

Jennifer's pov.
Hearing about Liam broke my heart, he's my best friend and I wouldn't want him to go through anything bad especially not because of me.
I know his suicide attempt was because of me but it's not like Liam to do such a thing.

Jennifer gets ready as fast as she can and rushes to the hospital.

Alex: Jennifer are you alright?

Jennifer: yeah just abit shocked but I'm alright....thanks.

Alex: Don't worry though he'll be fine, he just took a few too many sleeping pills.

Jennifer: Pills?
He didn't cut his wrist or anything?

Alex: Nope.

Jennifer: How can you be so sure ?

Alex: I talked to his brother, Mace.

Jennifer: Oh gosh...mum why didn't you tell me all that?

Mum: Sorry hun Mrs Drew didn't tell me....in fact it's your brother that told me while we were waiting for you.

Jennifer: Alright but next time please tell me when you know everything.

On reaching the hospital Jennifer met Liam's parents and brother.

Jennifer: Good Morning Mr and Mrs Drew.

Mr Drew: Morning Jennifer.

Jennifer: How is Liam doing?

Mrs Drew: He's much better now ....honestly I don't know what made him take such a huge step.

Jennifer: I'm sure he'll get better and you never know it may not be suicide, he might have just had to many sleeping pills.

Mace: There's a possibility but when I found him he had a half empty bottle of pills next to his bed stand.

Alex: Let's just wait for him to regain consciousness then we'll see what really happened.

All: we agree.

Alex: Anyways is Lucy coming?

Mrs Drew: ah yes....I called all of Liam's friends.

Jennifer: Really Alex, we're all here for Liam and your still crushing on Lucy?

Alex: well why--

Doctor: Mr and Mrs Drew I have some good news.

Mr Drew: Yes please go on.

Doctor: your son Liam he's regained consciousness and you can all meet him.

Mrs Drew: Oh that's good now I can know why he did it.

Jennifer: yeah as far as I know him, it could just be an accident.

Jennifer's finally going in to see Liam.
Did he really attempt suicide or was it just an accident?
Will Lucy come to visit Liam and will she patch up with Jennifer?
