Graysons POV
I threw my phone onto my bed sighing at the failure of the day. I had planned on going home for a few nights to see my parents and Ali but that backfired when a few hours after arriving, Patricia and Luke showed up with Patricia continuously making comments about EmmaI walked over to Emma's desk when I seen a note lying on it
Hey G,
I thought it'd be easier to tell you like this and I hope you can forgive me someday. I've decided to move to a different place, you know get away from distractions. Please don't contact me.
EmmaI immediately sensed something was up but decided it's probably nothing just Emma playing a joke on me
I was scrolling through Facebook when I seen a post. It had a photo of a phone and headphones that were pretty damaged that I recognised. The caption only confirmed my suspicions when it said they were found close to the gym Emma works at
"Son of a bitch" I punch the wall
They've got her
I searched every place I knew they could have taken her every chance I got, the thought of me getting to her too late. One thing for sure I had to make sure they didn't know I was back, they couldn't be expecting me
It was too much days later when I found myself standing outside the place I had found out to be where they had taken Emma. It was a beat up collection basement an hour from the campus
I managed to sneak in through a back door and as soon as I got in my senses were overcome with smoke
I managed to attack the four pricks that I'd do anything to kill pretty quickly with not much of a fight but the only thing I wanted to do was save Emma
I opened the door to the room I had she suspected she was in. Fire immediately came to hit me the smoke making me cough
"Emma" I shouted
"Grayson" I heard her fragile voice try to shout back
"I'm coming to get you" I said as I ran through the fire. Emma was suddenly quiet and I noticed the fire was about to get to her. I picked her up trying to cover her with my jacket so the fire wouldn't get to her petrol covered clothes
By the time I got out of the building the ambulance and police had pulled up. I put Emma down on the stretcher before bending down to cough
"Sir you're going to need to get checked out"
Apart from a hit to the eye, I came out untouched. I wasn't the one that needed help, Emma was
"I'm fine thanks" I say walking past her to get into the ambulance
I finally got a chance to get a look at Emma. She was bruised from head to toe, with so many cuts I couldn't count them. She had opened wounds with blood still oozing out of them and she looked like she hadn't ate in days
And it's all my fault
I wouldn't forgive myself
I just couldn't
"I'm so sorry" I whispered just as they closed the doors
