Lucien's POV-

As soon as the word start left his mouth Tamlin was charging at Rowan, the sword gleaming under the hot sun. The male easily dodged the attack hitting Tamlins back with the butt of his sword, Rowan's face appeared cold and calculating but if you looked a bit closer you could see a bit of amusement in his eyes. Tamlin quickly rolled away from Rowan and got up off the ground, once again getting into a warriors stance. This male was certainly powerful, probably a better fighter than Tamlin but nevertheless he wanted his High Lord to win, he wasn't allowed to want for any other option.

Tamlin's POV-

This Rowan was a better fighter than Tamlin had previously assumed, he would have to be more careful. He looked at the male, and the male glared back almost daring him to attack again. He was certainly muscular, Tamlin wouldn't want to take him on hand to hand, he would need to use his powers to beat the male.

"Not so high and mighty now," Rowan spat. That was it, Tamlin was pissed, this male was making Tamlin look like a fool in front of his men. What type of attack would he use to bring the male down Tamlin wondered, a smirk adorning his face.

3rd person POV-

And that was just what Rowan was waiting for. While  Tamlin was distracted, Rowan charged at the High Lord, landing a strike against his arm. Tamlin grunted in pain not expecting the male to be so bold and put up his sword just in time to deflect Rowan's second strike, he threw a punch at Rowan's chest knocking the male onto the ground. Tamlin grinned thinking he had won but before he could declare victory Rowan knocked his legs out from under him. Rowan then climbed on top of Tamlin landing various punches, screwing up Tamlins "pretty" face. Rowan then stood up huffing out a breath a wicked smile on his face. Tamlin's eyes flashed with rage as he released a wave of raw power throwing Rowan across the makeshift arena. Rowan's eye's widened the power that this male presented was certainly exceptional, 'I guess I will have to show him what real power was like' Rowan thought.

"We can fight that way if that is what you really want." Rowan snickered. Rowan called upon his wind magic and pulled the breath right out of Tamlins lungs.

Aedion's POV-

Aedion had heard rumors of Rowan's power over the wind but he had never seen it in action. Tamlin clawed at his throat his eyes shining with fear his chest was heaving for air. 'Rowan was preventing the air from entering Tamlins lungs' Aedion realized. In horror, he looked over at Rowan, the most powerful male he knew, he could kill Tamlin, a considerably powerful male, certainly more powerful than Aedion, without making a single move against him. Then Aedion noticed something. Rowan's face had twisted from cold and calculating to cruel almost as if he was going to kill Tamlin. His mouth had changed into a deadly wicked smile, his eyes showed no mercy for the High Lord, who was about to pass out.

"This is what real power is!" Rowan yelled at Tamlin, who looked like a cornered animal. Rowan was losing it, he was slipping into a rage similar to many fae males who had lost their mates before. They needed Aelin back and fast or Rowan was going to lose all control. He would turn into a cold-blooded killer like Aedion had seen many of his men turn into.  At this point Tamlin had passed out and many of Tamlins soldiers were surrounding him trying to help their Lord.

"Rowan stop!" Ansel yelled.

"You're going to kill him and you need him to get Aelin back," Lorcan said calmly approaching his friend. That seemed to snap the warrior out of it who stumbled back.

"You guys are right," Rowan growled. He then looked at Lucien, "I have won, once your High Lord waked up we will start the hunt for Aelin. Do you understand?" Lucien nodded, weirdly he did not look scared of Rowan at all.

"I advise you to go back to your chambers, we will send for you once Tamlin regains consciousness," Lucien ordered. With that Rowan stalked off leaving the rest of his group behind.

"Lorcan." Elide began, "is Rowan acting like this because of Aelin?"

"I believe so, he got like this when he lost Lyria"

At that point Aedion realized they needed to find Aelin soon for not just the fate of their world but of this one. Cause if Rowan can't find Aelin in the next couple of days. He will kill everyone in his path looking for her.
