9:15 AM
Carlos and André sat in the backyard of Carlos' father's house eating breakfast and talking. They'd both woken up around the same time to find the house completely empty, even Papa Pena was out. "In Jesus Name, Amen," Carlos lead.
"Amen," André agreed. "Alright man, so I've got some stuff planned on the ship for Tori. I've got some flowers, and I was gonna do the whole wine and strawberries thing, but clearly, she'll get mad at me for drinking without her...so I had to scratch that. But, now I don't know what else to do. She's been working so hard this week, and I really want her to be able to relax," André stressed. Carlos snickered. He knew what it was like to plan something special for his wife, but he also knew that the little things really mattered to her.
"Get couples massages. That's what I did with Lex, back when she was pregnant with Oc," Carlos suggested. André watched Carlos scroll through his phone, then pause for a moment. "What's her favorite color?" Carlos asked. André shrugged and took a bite of his eggs.
"Turquoise and black," he replied. Carlos hummed and scrolled through his phone for a second.
"This," Carlos said. He pulled up a picture and passed the phone to André.
"Where can I buy this?" André asked, sliding the phone back to his friend. Carlos quickly hit some buttons causing André's phone to buzz."I sent you the link," Carlos smirked. André went to the site, but before he could buy the shirt, his phone froze, signifying a phone call. He watched the screen change and a picture of he and Tori popped up.
"Hey, baby. Good morning," André greeted.
"Hey, babe. Question," Tori paused. "Lex and I are here at Walmart, and I was craving watermelon and since we aren't leaving until 12, I was thinking of getting one. However, if I get it, will you carve it for me?" Tori asked.
"Like a whole one?" He asked. Carlos looked at him weirdly. "Tori wants to get a whole watermelon," André whispered. Carlos's brows went up and he nodded briskly.
"The little things," Carlos sang. Silently, André chuckled and came back to his wife.
"Yeah, baby. Of course. Whatever you want," the ex-ball player complied.
"Thank you," Tori beamed through the phone. André was happy to hear that her voice wasn't too strained after the number of times she had to get up the previous night.
"No problem. Come home soon, I miss you, T," André whined. Tori giggled.
"I miss you too. I'll see you soon, Murillo," Tori said before the two hung up. André took a bite of steak with a deep breath.
"Watermelon. She's craving watermelon. What does that say?" André asked. Carlos pushed some of his food around his plate and shrugged.
"Girl? But, just be glad she's eating. I was worried about her when I got up to pee," Carlos smiled. André furrowed his eyebrows. "I heard her dry heaving and I think sobbing around 4," The Latino revealed. André felt a twinge of guilt. He had only notice Tori get up at 6, so he had no idea how many times she had truly gotten up. The guilt got to his heart, forcing him to buy that shirt even faster. He was determined to show Tori how much he appreciated her.
