18 Weeks

Tori sat at the counter of her new home reading her bible and drinking green tea. It was she and André's first real day in their new place and she couldn't even enjoy it alone. Her gender reveal party was today, but she had exactly 45 minutes to herself before having to get ready for her anatomy scan. She was praying that the baby was "sitting in the right position" whatever that meant so that she was able to confirm her dream. As she read, Busker came running up the stairs from the bedrooms with his favorite bone and sat by her foot. Tori flipped her, now mid-back length and ultra thick, dirty blonde hair to the left and glanced down to her 5-month-old puppy. She watched her fight vigorously to get a good vantage point on his bone for a second before going back to her devotion based around Isaiah 12:3. "With joy, you will draw water from the wells of salvation," Tori read. Busker looked up at her as she looked down to him. "You get that?" Tori asked, causing the dog to look at her sideways before going back to his morning snack. "Me either," she shrugged, shutting her bible and polishing off her drink. "Breakfast time," Tori announced. Busker quickly dropped his bone and ran to the food bowl beside the island. Tori gave her dog his rations and water before starting on her and André's food.

"Good morning, baby!" André called as he came up the stairs shirtless. Tori glanced back with a smile before continuing to cook steak and eggs for her husband and oatmeal for herself.
"Good morning," Tori replied. André slipped his arms around Tori and gleefully placed his hands on her very prominent bump. "How is my baby?" André asked, slipping his warm hands under Tori's t-shirt, to get a skin to skin feel and be a little closer to his child.
"She is fine. She moved and kicked all night, but now she's asleep. I think my moving around knocked her out," Tori replied. The German-born laughed and pecked his wife's cheek.
"How are you so sure, she is a she? How do you know Abiah won't be our next kid?" André skeptically, yet playfully asked. Both of Tori's eyebrows skyrocketed, as she forced herself to see the reality that André clearly wanted more than one kid.
"Next kid? You must plan on getting another wife or something because this body was made for one kid and that's it. You should've prayed for twins if you wanted more than one with me," Tori dramatically said. André smacked his lips and dropped his hands before hopping onto the counter next to the not hot side of the stove.
"Girl, whatchu talking about? As soon as that bun is out of the oven, I'm throwing another one in," he said through the goofiest smile. Tori chuckled and held in her laugh.
"You think I'm going anywhere near that thing after pushing out your big headed and big bodied child. Look at me? This baby is already huge. I look like I'm in my third trimester and I still have ten weeks left in the second," Tori said. "The only thing getting throw in as soon as this kid is evicted is an IUD. The five year one," she continued. André shook his head and started to swing his feet like a kid.
"Victoria Kelly, I will get you pregnant again if it's the last thing I do!" He declared. Tori turned back to him with fake annoyance and steak knife pointed at his manhood.
"If you do, it might actually be the last thing you do. Don't test me, Murillo," Tori threatened. André slowly moved the knife away as a hand guarded his family jewels.
"Okay, five years seems reasonable," he compromised. Tori smiled proudly and turned back to breakfast.
"Go get dressed. After breakfast we are going to the doctors and then to get the decorations and such for the party," Tori instructed. André sis as he was told, got off the counter and ran down the stairs to their bedroom. The way their new home was broken up, there was a bedroom that was only accessible by going up the stairs on the balcony, and three downstairs in the house. They were going to put the master upstairs, but they didn't want to do all of that walking in and out with a baby. And they definitely didn't want the baby two floors away. So, they decided to live on the lower level of their four-bedroom house in the second master until the kid was old enough or had enough siblings for André and Tori to feel comfortable having them all the way downstairs.
