Chapter 12.Sweet Revenge

''I don't have anything against you. You don't have to do this, Nathan'' I said calmly still facing Asher.

''Well, we swore an oath to fulfill our responsibility at any circumstances as agents'' He sneered back, clutching the gun straight at the back of my head.

''Put down the gun, Nathan'' I ordered. At this point I'm just trying to buy us some time until I figure out a way to escape.

''Not a chance. Say your last words before I drill this bullet into your skull''

''You knew Kenneth's plan all along and you still helped me translate those documents. Why did you do that?'' The thought immediately comes to mind

''I followed his orders. Kenneth wanted you to suffer in silences and be paranoid at all times before he kills you''

''I have psychopath instead of a brother'' I huffed out. I looked at Asher who was barely awake and I turned around facing the devil himself

''Interesting last words'' He cocked his gun and his finger reached for the trigger.

Boom.

Shots were fired. But not at me. My eyes flipped open and Nathan was still there, only with a frozen expression on his face. His body jerked forward and stumbled toward me. He looked down only to see a red spot slowly spreading and expanding on his chest. Nathan was shot.

He drops down, dead and standing behind him was Vanna, holding a gun in her hand.

''And that's for cheating on me' 'She said with a satisfied smile and placed the gun by her side.

I ran across and embraced her with a hug. Priscilla, Cathy and Ally all came crashing and joining in our hug.

''I've never been so happy to see you guys' 'My voice came out muffled between the hugs.

''We basically saved your life'' Ally retorted, placing her hands on her hips

''And for that I'm forever grateful to you. To all of you'' My expression darkens as soon as I said that ''But how did you find us here''

A smug expression appears on Cathy's face ''Well, Asher might have borrowed one of my trackers and placed it on your jacket...'' She trailed on

''Wow and I thought Kenneth was the only one stalking me'' I say in daze

''Think again'' Priscilla chimed in, laughing

''Love this little reunion but I would appreciate some help over here'' Asher said between coughs, clutching my beloved jacket.

I rushed to his side and placed his arm over my shoulder. His leg was injured too so he was limping as we made our way out.

''Dang, are you okay? What happen to you? Cathy exclaimed ''I'm calling the paramedics''

''Let's just say that I was protecting my girlfriend'' He looked at me dreamily

''Yeah, he definitely has a concussion'' Vanna concluded his statement
