Luke's POV:

I woke up, stretching, pain erupting throughout my stomach and arms. I glanced at the Bright green light glowing, it was about six in the morning. I knew it was still dark outside, why I'm up, I have no idea.

The house was chilled, as my eyes travelled to an open window, allowing the cool breeze into the house. I took a breath of the fresh air into my lungs, A whimper left my lips, as the deep inhaled breath hurt.

I was still on the living room floor beside the stairs. I glanced around, quickly, unsure of where everyone was. Fear filled my well being. My small framed body was covered in bruises. I could feel the pain, as I slowly moved, it radiated all throughout my body.

My mind drifted off to other thoughts.

"Mom?" I called out wondering if she was home, but there was no answer. No one was home, but me. I'm alone as usual, although it is better then being home with him.

I slowly walked up stairs to my room, each step making me wince in pain. I bit my tongue, trying not to scream aloud. It hurt so much. Why did I let him do this? I'm weak and pathetic, he's right.

After my internal pain, I walked to the bathroom after grabbing a dark red towel from the hall closet down the Hall. I needed the warm water, to ease the pain away.

I stepped in to the white tub, just standing there, unsure of how to feel, after what happened last night. He had been harsh with me before, but last night, almost seemed he lost his cool, like he became someone more violent then the usual Jack. Turning each tap on, adjusting the water, I winced at the water first hitting my pained skin.

I took a shower, letting the hot water hit my skin, not before stopping to stare at my ugly scarred body in the mirror. After I got out of my long, hot and relaxing shower. Cold air blasted at me, I missed the warmth from the water, I need it. I walked to my room with a dark red towel around my waist.

Walking down the hallway to my bedroom, I pulled out a long sleeve grey shirt and a pair of black skinny jeans. I grabbed a pair of my black and white converse.

I glanced at the clock, realizing I had plenty of time before I had to leave to catch my bus.

I walked downstairs finding my black over the shoulder bag in the living room. All my school things intact. Today was the first day back to school and I was incredibly nervous over everything. I especially didn't want to see Chad and his guys. Chad was a personal bully of mine, he and his older sister owned the school, due to having their dad as our Principal.

Although I was extremely excited to see Calum and Michael, my best friends. Moms boyfriend never let me leave the house at all this summer and during the year I can only leave for school or when he's gone to work. which makes having friends really hard and difficult.

I sat at the kitchen table eating cereal. I swished the colorful rings around the glass milk filled bowl for so long, not wanting to eat it. I forced the fruit loops down, and drank the white milk.  After I had finished.

I sat there for a good twenty-five minutes staring into the distance at nothing. I heard laughter and talking outside the window. Finally it clicked that I was going to be late, kids were out there to catch the bus.

I adjusted my lip ring, set in my ear phone, and walked out the front door. Today was the first day of grade eleven and I was really worried, just about everything.

I could hear the bus, so I ran the rest of the way to my bus stop. It was right in front of my house, luckily enough. I already saw an empty stop, meaning everyone had got on already, I saw the bus lift up, so I ran faster down my walk.
