Role: a powerful traveling mage recruited early on.

Y/N asked Roy if she could join, he let her since she seemed a person with good intentions. Then he saw her on the battlefield, killing enemies left and right without hesitation or sloppiness. Her magic was incredible to say the least. He wanted to know how she became this strong, and perhaps bloom a friendship with his companion. He looked around for the certain mage and eventually found her in yet the same book she had been reading since she joined. He also just wanted a reason to talk to her.

"Y/N! There you are. " Roy exclaimed with a smile. Y/N looked up at the red haired boy and greeted him with a grin.

"What do you need Roy? " Y/N asked him, Roy cleared his throat.

"I was wondering how you use such powerful magic. I mean sometimes it seems you could wipe out an entire army by yourself! " Roy told her. He went over to sit next to hear her better.

"Comes naturally, if you read a couple hundred books magic feels as if it's just another part of your body." Y/N answered him. Roy awkwardly laughed.

"I-Is that so? Everyone has always told me I don't got a knack for magic so I was hoping I could get tips from someone as powerful as yourself. " Roy said enthusiastically. Y/N smiled at the redheads cuteness, she closed the book and kissed his cheek. At first Roy was as still as a rock but jumped onto his feet putting his hand on his cheek where she had kissed him. "I think I have to go talk to someone...! I hope to speak again!...soon!" He excused himself walking quickly. Y/N giggled at the small boy's behavior. As her thoughts began she remembered the day she was recruited.

Flashback time

It was mid battle for Roy's group, they were doing pretty well. Not too many injuries, none fatal. Y/N wa straveling around bored out of her mind. She heard a fight going on and decided to check it out, there was a red headed boy with such blinding beauty. To his red hair to the tip of his boots. Y/N decided to join the boy in whatever he was in, I mean she had nothing else to do anyways. She ran over to him as an enemy approached them from afar.

"Hello sir! " Y/N exclaimed, Roy looked at her shocked. He thought she was an enemy. "I saw you fight from afar and something... convinced me that I need to fight for you. " Y/N told him.

"I-I don't know lady, why don't we talk after the battle okay, I appreciate your off—" Roy was saying until an arrow was heading his way. Y/N casted a fire spell immediately and smirked at the poor archer and burned him along with his arrow.

"I hope this suffices. My name is Y/N, I'm a traveler of sorts. " Y/N introduced. Roy chuckled and gave her a big grin which wiped her grin out and replaced it with a big blush covering her face. 'Cute boys... my weakness.. ' she thought.

"Roy, Roy of Pherae. I think you proved your self quite enough miss, I would hate to be that man. " Roy told her. "Thank you by the way, for saving me. "

"It was nothing Roy of Pherae, " Y/N teased a bit.

Flashback over, back to the present

Y/N let out a dreamy sigh and talked a random Soldier's ear off about how Roy looked from far. The random soldier ended up becoming Y/N's friend. Y/N and the solider, which she found out was named Ame( if your name is also Ame then Oof), spent most of their time together. Roy could barely catch Y/N without Ame near her.

"So like I was saying—"

"Y/N! " Roy said all of a sudden making the two girls jump. "I.. I mean.. Ame if you could excuse yourself for a bit, I'd like to talk to Y/N. " Roy asked politely. Ame nodded and headed off to god knows where.

"What did you need Roy? " Y/N asked him. She looked concerned on the outside but was partying in her head.

"I just wanted to talk with you again... about magic! " he told her, Y/N smirked knowing that wasn't completely true.

"Well, I wouldn't mind at all. " Y/N replied, she was so happy that he was talking to her. It Y/N was a dog her tail would be wagging as fast as it could. To others it looked as if she was a dog wagging its tail as it's master praised it. They talked for almost an hour on a bench. Y/N was just staring at Roy with a smile plastered on her face. Roy's face flushed a bit as he didn't know exactly why she was staring at him.

"Do I look weird or something..? " Roy asked. Y/N let out another dreamy sigh.

"No, you look quite the opposite may I add. " Y/N answered him.

"Oh.. I.. " Roy fumbled over his words, playing with his thumbs. Y/N laughed and continued on the conversation, Roy was almost aware of her feelings.

The next battle hit them, Roy readied his troops for battle. Y/N was told to stay near him so she could hit people but stay safe. Y/N watched as Roy slashed men and women alike to their demise. Even though Roy disliked it Y/N loved to see him in the heat of battle, or him just using a sword. He was perfect as he swung his sword in her eyes. "God I love how you swing that sword.. " Y/N commented. Roy stopped and looked at her, widened eyes and red faced. "Did I say that out loud? " Y/N asked nervously. "Cause I.. haha.. I messed up.. " Y/N mumbled.

"W-We need to focus on th-the battle in front of us for now! " Roy demanded. Y/N could barely focus. She looked as if she was a zombie wandering around the battle field. An enemy swordsman charged at her while she was out of it. Roy saw it and pushed him away, but Roy's face was slightly scratched. When Y/N realized what happened she didn't hesitate to kill the man. The man's screams were loud and piercing. Once he had died Y/N looked at Roy with caring eyes.

"Oh gods.. this is my fault. If I had paid attention you wouldn't have gotten hurt. I'll leave as soon as the battles ov—"

"No! I saved you because I.. I want you here. I need you here. " Roy told her. Y/N's face turned red for once.

"You.. you wha.. t.. " Y/N said as she pit her hands on her cheeks feeling how hot they were.

"I..l.. let's talk later.. okay? " Roy told her with a smile that pierced her heart.

"Anything for you. " Y/N teased the poor red-head.
