Chapter 1: The Invite

•Callie's POV•

I'm hanging out with my bestfriend, Lou, today. Ive known her forever and I'm so lucky to call her my bestfriend. She's always talking about the band she is in called Someone's Little Sister. I honestly want to join, but I'm scared I don't have the time. I've been studying nonstop and I've had to spend time with my sister, Sophia, and my brother, Jude. School is really stressful, but I'm excited that this school year is senior year! The only problem is college. Yay.

I met Lou after class and we started our way to the beach. We sat down on our towels and started talking.

"Hey Cals, have you thought about joining the band. Id love for you to join. You're an amazing singer. PLEASE!" Lou begged.

"Okay, okay. Ill do it. Who all is in the band?" i asked.

"Jasper, Matt, Brandon, me, and now you!" she said sounding excited.

"Any of them cute?" I asked.

"Well Jasper is mine and Matt is taken. Brandon is cute and y'all would be so cute!" she sorta shouted.

"I don't even know the guy." I said smiling a little.

"You will though" she stated smirking.

"We'll see. I doubt he'd have any interest anyway." I said looking down.

"Are you crazy?! Ive shown all the guys a picture of you and even my boyfriend says your hot! Brandon especially." she says winking.

"You show then pictures?!" I shouted.

"Yeah. They wanted to see my gorgeous bestfriend." she said laughing.

"Well, what about the band? Wouldn't me and Brandon's relationship interfere?" I asked.

"Of course not. Well... maybe. That would have to depend." She said.

"Well I've got to head home. Band practice tomorrow after school, right?"
I asked.

"Yeah. I'll see you then!" she said waving.

•Brandon's POV•

I was walking along the beach when I ran into this really hot girl. I feel like I've seen her before, but I'm not sure where. The most awkward part was that we both fell and I fell on top of her. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard her voice.

"Umm... are you gonna get up or are we going to stay like this?" she asked.

"Oh. Right. I'm sorry" I said standing up and helping her up as well.

"It's fine. I should have paid attention to where I was going. I'm Callie, by the way" she stated.

"I'm glad you didn't. I'm Brandon."

"You're glad I didn't look where I was going?" She asked confused.

Shit. "I said that out loud?" I asked.

"Yeah, you did." she said smiling. Her smile is perfect.

"Well, I'm glad I ran into you because you are.... Wow." I stated nervously.

"Thanks. You are too." she said blushing. "Well I better go. It was nice meeting you, Brandon. Ill see you around." she said walking away.

I just stood there in complete shock. Did that just happen? A gorgeous girl like that would never be into me. Right? As I started walking, I saw Lou sitting on a towel.

"Hey Lou." I said walking up to her.

"Oh. Hey, B." she said.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her.

"I was here with my bestfriend, Callie, but she had to go home." she stated.

"Does she have brown curly hair, an amazing smile, and gorgeous brown eyes?" I asked.

"Umm.. yeah. How'd you know?"

"I just ran into her. I kinda landed on top of her and told her she looked... how do I put this? Wow." I said.

"OMG, Brandon! You know she's joining the band right? I was just talking to her about you. She doesn't want to interfere with the band, but I talked her into at least meeting you first. Now, there is an actual chance for y'all!" Lou squealed. Since when does Lou squeal?

"Wait. Did you say joining the band?" I asked.

"Um.. yeah." she said confused.

"That's great! Now I can see her often!" I said smiling.

"Yeah, but you better be sweet. She's still my bestfriend." Lou stated.

"Yeah, yeah. I will. I have to go, but give me her number." I said. She took my phone and put Callie's number in it.

"Thanks. Bye, Lou. See you at band practice." I said walking away.
