NaNoWriMo, if you didn't know already, is a challenge which takes place each and every November. It challenges writers to write at least fifty thousand (50,000) words in just one month.
This story is my NaNoWriMo project for 2018. When November 2018 came to an end I had successfully written over fifty thousand words but the story had not yet come to an end. December came and the writing slowed down quite a bit but continued all the same.
On January the sixth 2019 this story, ROOM 211, was brought to an end or at least an end was reached. The total word count on this date, with only one round of editing, was a shade under sixty six thousand words. Now indeed an end may have been reached but at that this is a first draft. It took some time to return to this tale though a return was made in September of 2023, and with a new in-depth edit, the story is a couple thousand words longer than before.
I am glad I came back to this project for the basic idea for it had been around a while before I initially tackled it. And now here it is, done and hopefully dusted, So if you check it out, I hope it is to your liking ...
