27.

If Archer already had reason to be suspicious of Henry, then right now his suspicion is going through the roof. He set this situation up, he must have. This other fellow who had named himself Henry is not Henry at all according to a passport Archer has been handed. Archer himself apparently is Henry Patrick Corbin with a birth date of the third of March 1958. Yeah, this other Henry fellow, he really is having everyone fooled, isn't he?

Convincing, how can anyone be so convincing? Waking in an open field, yeah right, with a fancy car and plenty of money, and memory loss too, how convenient, while Archer woke on a stone-cold floor in a darkened, wet and dirty room with a phone where he could be conveniently called on and told where to go.

And like a fool, Archer did as he was asked upon receipt of that initial phone call, he went to Room 211 of the Mulberry Hotel where he had to be convinced to stay with two others who also so happened to have memory loss. Is Bonnie in on this too? Maybe not, maybe she is being played just as much as Archer feels he is being played. Eight beds, eight people, remember? Nine people have a loss of memory, what are the chances?

And all eight people, all nine people, coming somewhat together in less than two whole days. Something has been set up, with one possibly running something over the other eight. Whatever it is, it has come so far to nothing good, for one member of the nine is dead.

What if Archer's assumptions are wrong? No, they can't be, for it is adding up in a way and how handy is it that Henry has been taken off by police detectives who so happen to be looking for a Doctor Archer? Are they in onto something too? Something smells, something stinks, and Henry is not around to be questioned about any of this.

It gets worse too, for when Red and William return to room 211 of the Mulberry Hotel, they state of what it is they have seen, this Henry fellow getting into a car with a woman and two children and arriving at what would appear from the outside to a be a nice cozy home. Well, that Henry fellow has made one big mistake and Archer is going to catch himself a rat by the ghoulies.

And this whole swapping identities thing, well doesn't that take the cake? Archer demands the car keys from Red not long after hearing about where Henry has got to himself. That money ... there surely must be a substantial amount of it and it must be kept in some kind of hiding place, and where better to check than the boot of the car Henry conveniently woke too.

Hell, what do you know? There is a duffel bag in the boot of that car and there is indeed a substantial amount of cash within that duffel bag. There is only one place Archer wants to go to now and it not the place where he initially woke with memory loss. Archer is going to confront Henry ... or should that be a namely switch around as Henry going to go confront Archer, the apparent real Archer.

As it is, Archer is about ready to explode and it doesn't matter if he is about to jump the gun, for he is convinced he is right, one hundred percent right and to talk about jumping the gun, Archer demands that he should be given the gun that the twins so happen to have.

Everyone in room 211 is surprised by this and in a way, room 211 is about to have its own explosion. Bonnie is the first to react, in a way this in itself is a little surprising given the nature of how she has appeared to be since any coming together has come to be.

Archer is about ready to storm out after Henry when Bonnie walks right up to him, right in front of him. If this had been anyone else, then Archer may have tried to push them aside, but he would not do that to Bonnie.

'You can't do this' she says to him in an odd calm kind of matter.

'I can, you just watch me.'

'Archer ... please.'

'I am not Archer. The real Archer is off right now playing happy families while we wait here.'

'If we think about this in a civil manner, we might come to a conclusion that we are being set up. And if we are being set up, we cannot know for sure who by. It might be pointing to Henry purposely. He may be in on it but what if he is being set up just as much as the rest of us are. And maybe too there is no set up, we just don't know.'

This moment, it stuns the room. Who would have ever thought that if a voice of reason would be needed then that voice of reason would belong to Bonnie? Things are getting weirder and weirder by the minute so it would seem.

'So, what would you suggest?' asks Archer after a moment or so of quiet. 'We have both phones in our possession right now. We can simply call him and ask for his side of the story.'

'We wait ...' speaks Bonnie. 'He will be back; I know he will. We should have the gun put away; somewhere safe, out if the way and will work out.'

'He'll be back? And you know this how?'

Again, with this coming from Bonnie, and with Bonnie being Bonnie or at least how she has appeared to be over the last couple of days, Archer relaxes and takes her suggestion, no matter the fact that his last question goes and has gone unanswered. Bonnie soon moves back to where she had been prior to Archer bringing the money he found within the car up to the room and singing once again begins.

My Bonnie lies over the ocean,
My Bonnie lies over the sea.
My Bonnie lies over the ocean.
Oh bring back my Bonnie to me.

If superpowers are abound, then Bonnie's so happens to be an ability to create calm. Yeah, probably best to wait. No point questioning anyone while in possession of a gun, and if children are present ... well.
