Sade's POV
I couldn't hold myself back. Just the thought of him being someone else's made my blood boil with rage. "Wait...calm down." Lance whispered. Hearing his tired voice made me almost guilty. Almost. He wiped the melted ice from his skin and looked at me. "I put some ice on you." I explained. He nodded and smiled warmly. "Okay...so what's this all about?" Lance had dark bags under his eyes. He must be very tired. It's a wonder how this few hours already made him so exhausted.
"I was sitting in your desk and finishing up some of the things for you when Butler and this Greek Prince came barging in." I paused and motioned to Butler. "He put up a tantrum, shouting how you're supposed to be married to his sister and blah blah blah. Anyways, I dealt with him coldly and kicked his ass out of here." I took a deep breath and finished. Butler coughed. "But...Sade, how did you know he was a Greek prince?" I gave him a look. "It's not hard. He wore those obvious clothes, his sense of style, his features, his accent, everything just screams out." I shrugged my shoulders. He smiled. "I knew you'd catch on at least that much-" He talked but I just can't wait for him.
"Lawrence, can you please tell me what's going on?" I asked. I looked at his eyes. Not a hint of shame, guilt, or falseness was there. But there was worry. "That Greek person is called Prince Victor, Victor Miles. We have a business contract with them and our companies work efficiently together. Somehow along the way, their family's daughter grew to like me so they just personally assumed that I was to marry her. Don't worry, Sade." He held my hand and kissed my finger tips. "There's no proper arrangement and if there was I will immediately refuse."
"But Young Master, the Millefiore family is rather close to the Miles. We can't just refuse." Butler spoke out. Lance rubbed his temple and I gave him water. With a half smile, Lance replied, "That's why I need Baby Blue. That classic one of a kind pistol is something that could ease the tension with the Millefiore. As for the Miles, they can't stand much on their own. Plus, I'm sure their daughter doesn't really like me."
Watching Lance talk felt so detached. There was no feeling, no emotion what so ever. It was all business. That part of him made me think he looked cool. Butler nodded. It's my turn to speak. "We did talked about that. Baby Blue is in my possession but it's not within my reach anymore. It's been along time but I know it's still in the Ivory Manor. I've left it there." Lance raised his eyebrows but didn't say anything.
I really don't want to go back there. But if going back could help him then...maybe it's worth it. But still...I really hate that place. "Ivory Manor?" Lance repeated. I nodded. "My old residence where I lived when I was young."
Lance's POV
My head throbbed and my body felt heavy, but for all of that just seeing Sade made me feel at ease. The fact that Victor yelled at him though made me agitated. He's no right. But I know my love and I trust his actions.
"That's why I need Baby Blue. That classic one of a kind pistol is something that could ease the tension with the Millefiore. As for the Miles, they can't stand much on their own. Plus, I'm sure their daughter doesn't really like me." I spoke. I know that Sade has it. I haven't really talked to him about it but I guess now is as good as any to inquire. "We did talked about that. Baby Blue is in my possession but it's not within my reach anymore. It's been a long time but I know it's still in the Ivory Manor. I've left it there." Sade had a cool face about him but something about it made me sense that he was troubled.
"Ivory Manor?" I repeated. He nodded with sad eyes. "My old residence where I lived when I was young." There was distance in those words. He was really pointing out the fact that that place doesn't have anything to do with him anymore. Watching him so closely, I flatter myself to think that I can read his mood. And at this moment I felt that he didn't really want to talk about it right now. "I see..." I let out. "There's no rush, so we don't need an urgent response to their claims."
