Sade's POV
I bowed politely, smiling my best. "Hello, how do you do? I'm Sadden-" Lawrence chuckled causing a small blush to appear from my face. "Get your act straight! But still...I never expected this. I'm married to a man!?" He walked towards me and I can't help but hold my breath. Saying that his appearance doesn't threaten me is an understatement. His confidence stirs my pride. His very being just seemed so offensive to my own existence. Should I be happy that I snagged myself a good looking man? No...I don't think I should go there.
"We know that." He smiled, showing his perfect teeth. I returned the smile with just as much charm. Is he challenging me? "Sade!" Beth grabbed on my hand and giggled. Truthfully, I was thankful for the distraction. The situation had proven to be much...more...interesting than I had originally anticipated. His icy orbs grazed my back. He was watching, but I wasn't ready to approach him. At least, not yet.
Lawrence Bossivich carried ferocity and strength to his every stride. He was much taller than me. His built is desirable and his features are angular, sharp, and clean. His movements are suave, effortless. Dark hair and a pair of steel blue eyes, he was truly frightening. A handsome face that matches his devilish smile. It was a turn on.
No, I don't mean it like that!
It's merely the switch within me that has been flipped to...to rivalry.
The rest of the party was enjoyable. I tried to avoid him, though not obviously. If I had gathered my facts well, he'll be a tough opponent.
I've heard so many things about. It's a wonder what a smile and a small conversation could result. Things about him, whether they be true or not, still leaves a shivering sensation. It sent my blood boiling.
What can he do to me?
Lawrence's POV
He was as beautiful as I first saw him. Although, he was more unguarded last time. At first, I thought he couldn't be. Because the man I met, the guy I knew, was really cute and dangerous. He was like a little bunny before he shows his fangs.
Plus, he kept saying his name was Alice. Of course, I knew that to be a lie now. His identity has always been mysterious to me. That's another reason why he was so hard to find. I had to pull a few strings just to locate his whereabouts. Though I tried not to trifle with his backgrounds. I'm sure there are more things to him that meets the documents. But for now, black ink on a white paper will do justice.
Aside to my curiosity, the only thing I recognized, other than his face, was his cautious nature. That part of him was so cute. The way his eyes glance at me, trying to figure me out. Sizing me up to values and worth, identifying me with labels. I'm sure he's already thought of me as a rival.
I glanced at his back. Though he wasn't looking at me, I felt a ferocious beast waiting for his prey. Oh, the thrill of the hunt. Sadden noticed my stare and I smiled. He returned the smile but his eyes spoke of demise.
This might take a while.
My eyes found Butler. I motioned him closer. He obeyed. "How was everything?" I whispered as I took a sip out of my champagne. He knew what I was pointing out. "It will be settled soon." His response wasn't my desired answer but it will do. "Also, he's quiet the pick. As should be expected from you, young Master. You always exceed my expectations."
His greying hair and wrinkles are almost always forgotten. To me, he had always been a friend that raised me from the mansion. I laughed at his flattery. "Certainly, such evaluations won't go unnoticed."
Sade's POV
I don't like it.
The way he looks at me.
