At the Airport
Sade checked his watch once more. "Where the hell is he?!" He growled in frustration. "It was appointed that he'd be here by now!!! The plane is about to be here in less than any minute..." He scanned the crowded area. "Perhaps a traffic has hit him." Butler spoke, trying to calm the angered man.
He swiped his phone out and looked for any messages that might be there. His ash blue eyes turned into an electrifying blue. He ruffled his blond hair to a mess. Sade was about to call his editor when a voice interrupted. "Sade, SADE!!!!! I'm here...sorry I'm late." Rey panted as he handed him the package.
Earlier
Sade and Butler arrived at the airport two hours ago. "Are you ready? We'll have to wait for some time. I've prepared two first class tickets. When we get there, there should be people on standby to take us back to the hotel. However, taking his preferences he'd probably take you to his apartment later if the schedule is met."
As many times as he said "he", for some reason our Sade didn't catch on. He was too busy searching through his duffle bag. "My....my references, my...my research documents for the testimonies and business negotiations...how am I supposed to kill him?" Sade babbled about the content he needed for his thrilling project. His book was about a criminal you see, but Butler didn't know that. So when he said "how am I supposed to kill him?" it made Butler think, "Just who is Sadden, really."
"Rey, is that you? Yes, I forgot some files and documents...yes. Now, will you be the greatest assistant ever if you can get them and bring them to me, please?" Sade then hanged up.
Butler watched him intently. "Is there something wrong?" Sade asked. He shook his head. "Oh, no, but may I ask, just who are you?"
He looked at the old man with a question in his face. A sinister smile broke in his face. "You want to know who I am? ...well...here I thought my background was already checked." He laughed. "If you want to know more about me, I'm sure you'll figure me out soon. It shouldn't be difficult. I am, after all, true to myself....most of the time." There was a dangerous glint in his eyes that made the man think. Just who is he...
(A/N: I realize I'm saying 'really' a lot but it can't be helped.)This was the third time that someone had caused him to feel fear even though it's a different sort of fear. It's exciting and thrilling. The kind that sends you chills with anticipation. Butler smiled. He decided he liked Sadden. He should prove to be an interesting character.
The clock ticked by but Rey hasn't arrive until now.
Present
"I'm really sorry, look, it's already 3:28!! Go! You'll miss your flight." The two shared a brief high-five before they parted. Sade snatched his belongings and ran to his destination. Butler followed along behind him. They, thankfully, managed to catch their flight just in time. The security had been more annoying to Sade's liking.
Butler glanced at the man. Sade caught him and grinned. Are those files really that important? The man thought. They filled their seats and settled in quickly. Butler was on the other row, next to Sade's seat. And so the plane took off, back to California, where Sadden's past and future collides.
Two Hours Later
He had managed to take a nap, but it was time he thought. Sade opened the package, scanning the content. It had manuals, how to's, summaries, and other descriptions he needed. "It has been a while after all. I'm a little rusty." He whispered. Now, all he needs to do is practice it. He used to live in California until middle school. He moved to NY when he started college. "It's been long, I must, at least once, show my face to a certain someone if I'm going back there. And maybe there, I can test it."
