The Vikk kid was okay.
He was pretty calm most of the time, even managing to slip in some humor here and there. He was pretty skilled in subtle insults as well, but everyone seemed fond of him already, especially one of the few other girls here.
Her name was Vienna, but everyone called her Vi. She was a quiet one compared to us, always in the corner with a cold glare aimed at almost all of us. No one spoke with her much, just mentioning her at times during conversations.
With Vikk around, she wasn't quiet anymore.
Of course, her steely glare didn't stop, but it lessened a little. While she was no longer hateful, she had become annoying as hell. Every other sentence that escaped her mouth always started out with Vikk.
While the rest of us were irritated at her now, Vikk enjoyed the attention. When Vi looked away, he would send a smug smirk at Lachlan and I. Lachlan would roll his eyes and I would grin before flipping him off.
After the 5th or so time, he left Vi and made his way over to us.
"You know, flipping people off isn't nice." He quipped.
"You're talking to a bunch of delinquents, idiot." Lachlan said, boredom lacing his tone.
"I'm sure you still know what's right or wrong."
"Yeah, but we don't care what's right or wrong. Just if it helps us out in a way." I explained, taking out a new piece of gum from my pocket.
"You've been chewing the same piece for nearly an hour?" Lachlan asked. I just nodded before spitting out the old one on the floor and chewing the new one.
Vikk rolled his eyes at me before cleaning up the chewed up pile of gum. I grinned as he trudged over to the trash and back to us. Unfortunately, Vi had seen him and joined him. It was humorous, though, seeing him practically being hugged to death by Vi.
"So, this is Vi, Lachlan," he brought her to Lachlan first then me.
"And uh..."
"Cliche as it is, just call me X." I smirked.
"X?"
"Yep. Only a few know and only 1 remembers. So, good luck finding my name."
"It's not like it could be that hard." Vi interrupted, hand on her waist. My eyes narrowed and I scowled at her.
"Go ahead and try to figure it out, Trents." I retorted. She glared at me before turning around and walked away, dragging Vikk along with her.
With a sigh, I turned around and faced Lachlan. He was busy just drawing random things on the desk, still popping the bubble gum bubbles he would make. His hair was in the usual quiff-like style, bringing out his facial features.
"You know, you have really blue eyes." I commented. He looked up at, an amused smirk on his face.
"And you have a natural blush on your face." He replied, the smirk fading into a small smile.
"Heh, remember the old game we used to play when we were younger? We called it Faces."
"Yeah, and we would almost always point out things on our face instead of anywhere else." He chuckled.
"So, some things are still the same. Old, yet new." I smiled.
