Thomas POV

What? No. I- I'm not going to believe it. It's impossible. Or I thought it was. I never thought a life could be gone so quickly without me even knowing. Then again, hundreds of people die everyday around the world. It's natural.

It's not natural to loose such an important life so quickly. As in quickly, I mean so soon. So young. Me and my brother can't comprehend what has happened. Yet, here we were. In the police station. My brother wasn't talking to me. He wasn't mad at me. Usually, if he was mad, he would shut himself into his own little land. Stay away from everyone for a long while. You wouldn't know if he was still alive. Sometimes he would go away for so long and you would start to question.

This...this is different. He could be mad. Or sad, or scared, but I can't tell. I could always read my brother like a book, but right now, his expression was blank. Tears were flowing out his eyes and making streaks on his face when they dried, but more would keep on taking the place of the last. I couldn't really tell what he was feeling other than sad.

Me? I have no clue. I'm just so lost that I don't know what to feel.

I felt a strong hand pat me on the back. I look up and see a tall light skinned man in a uniform. A police uniform. He gives me a reassuring sad smile, then walks away.

  What happened???

*Flashback*

"Alright!" The coach yells, getting the kids attention.

  I hate when people yell.

I'm sitting in the bleachers, sitting next to my friends getting ready to watch my brother play. I look around and don't see my parents, and I see my brother looking around too.

"We won't let the stinky G-Men beat us! Alright?!"

"Yes coach!" The team shouts in unison.

  "I SAID ALRIGHT??!!"

"ALRIGHT! PLAY THE STUPID GAME!" I hear Sophie yell right next to me.

30 minutes in, me and Joey get snacks for the girls.

"Bro, where are your parents? Didn't they say they'd both come?" Joey asks me while waiting in line.

"I don't know. They said the would come and I got a text about 20 minutes before the game stared that they'd be running late, but we only live 15 minutes away walking time, so for them, they should've been here a long time ago. I don't know." I say, shrugging. They're probably fine.

After we pay, we sit down and after a little while after, it's half time. Our team......was suffering....just a bit.

I saw the group huddle and Amy started talking to me.

"I think the only way our team will win is if your brother takes all the shots." She said, resting her head on my shoulder. Screaming on the inside? Absolutely.

"My brother is a great shot. I just don't know if they'll let him-"

"LET HIM! HE'S THE BEST!!" I hear a player on our team shout. He looked around and gave a cheesy smile, then turned back around into the huddle.

I saw them all agreeing on something, and I knew it was actually gunna happen.

My brother was going to take most of the shots.

"I hope Jeff does well." Sophie says, eating some Skittles. "If he doesn't do well, he isn't going to hear the end of it."

"Please, I'm sure he'll do just fine." Marcus said, crossing their legs.
