Two girls were walking through the forest, nearby the orphanage they were staying at. One of the girls, Gemina, was a little hesitant about going into the forest with her sister, Lara. Before she had died, their mother had always told stories about cursed treasures that could be found within a forest.
"See, Gemmy," Lara sais turning around and walking backwards. "There's nothing to fear here." Gemina shook her head.
"What about those earrings, and that necklace?" Gemina asked. She couldn't help the paranoia creeping into her voice. Lara rolled her eyes, and looked to where her sister was pointing.
"Left here by someone else most likely," Lara said as she walked forward. "I say we take them, use them as our final touches in our Halloween costumes, then find the owner tomorrow."
"I don't know Lara," Gemina hesitated before grabbing the diamond earrings. "What if they are cursed?"
"There's no such thing as curses," Lara replied, clipping on the necklace. The emerald green and garnet in the necklace brought out the ruby red in her eyes.
"Maybe you're right," Gemina put the earrings on as she talked.
Lara scoffed, "I'm always right." Gemina chuckled at that. Lara was always right. But there is a first time for everything. This time Lara was wrong. The jewelry pieces came with a curse. That Halloween night the first angel and demon were born.
