Memory wandered around the forest she had appeared in. Marilynn had been nice enough to give her a picture of the necklace, so she knew what she was looking for. Yet looking for a green necklace in a forest was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Nearly impossible. Memory sighed, and leaned against a tree.
"Whoa!" she screamed as she fell. The tree she was leaning on had a hidden door, and had opened when Memory had leaned on it. She slid down a slide, and into darkness.
"Welcome back Lara. The necklace of darkness is waiting to create the next," a mechanical voice had stated as Memory stood up.
"Lara," Memory whispered. The name felt right to her. "My name is Lara." Memory looked around taking in the darkness. She saw a glint of green, an emerald. Memory walked forwards toward the necklace.
2.
Emma had gone back to her room, and locked the door. She didn't want to risk anyone. The voices had come back, and they were telling her to either hunt down Memory, or to harm Marilynn. Neither of which Emma had an interest in.
(Remind me why we can't kill Marilynn,) one voice stated.
"Because she's my friend," Emma murmured her reply.
(What about joining that Memory girl. I want to see the necklace.) Emma shook her head. She wasn't moving an inch.
3.
Memory stood in front of a glass case with a necklace of garnets, obsidian, and emeralds. Memory decided to leave her name as is, Lara was the name of a demon. The first demon. The darkest demon. Memory wasn't sure how to destroy the necklace, as if you were to touch it the darkness would slowly penetrate your soul. And if you wear it, the darkness would take you over within sixty seconds.
"Lara?" a voice asked behind her asked. A familiar voice that Lara would have recognized in a second, but one Memory would have to grow used to. "Lara is it really you?" the voice asked. Memory turned around slowly. A teenage boy of sixteen stood behind her. The boy had silver hair, and ruby red eyes. Her semi-demonic son. Not that he knew that.
"Andrew?" Memory asked. The boy nodded. "How old are you? Are you immortal?"
"Lara are you ok? I didn't think you cared so much for your brother. You must have changed while you were gone."
Memory laughed, "You have no idea. My name is Memory now by the way. Oh by the way I'm not your sister."
"What are you then?"
"Your mother."
"Oh, so what demon is father, mother?"
"None, your father is an angel. He was destroyed when you were born." Andrew's eyes swelled with tears. Memory hugged her demonic-angelic son. "I changed my ways for you, Andrew, this way you can be more of an angel then a demon."
"Thank you mom."
"You're welcome son. Now I need your help to destroy the necklace." Andrew nodded. He walked over to the case, and lifted it up.
"Do you have something to destroy it with?" Memory held up a silver dagger. Andrew grinned, "I'll hold the necklace if you want." Memory shook her head. She walked forward.
4.
(Memory doesn't care for you. No one does. You know that right?) Emma started getting an idea on who that voice really was. So far the voices were ghosts who were destroyed, or Annalise using her telepathy to keep in touch. So, Emma guessed that the dark voice, who wants to harm the Queen, was Annabelle. The demon who was destroyed six years ago, but not before she killed the entire orphanage to ensure that her plan for taking over the world would work.
"Yes she does. Marilynn too. Andrea as well. Helene cares about everyone. So you're wrong, people do care about me." Emma argued. She could even imagine Annabelle huffing and turning away. Emma tilted her head, "What? Nothing else to say, Annabelle?" Emma spat the name out like it was poison. She could imagine Annabelle trying not to strangle her.
(Oh, snap, Emma can be sassy.) And there was Annalise. Emma glared at the wall.
"Get out of my head, Annalise. And all of you as well. I swear I'm getting migraines from you people chatting constantly. And the dead don't get migraines."

Memory plunged the dagger into the gem on the necklace. Almost instantly she was enveloped in a weird mixture of light and dark. She felt her body relaxing, before onlying seeing darkness.
"Mom!" Andrew's shout sounded distant, yet nearby at the same time like he was shouting near her on a plain, yet the wind was carrying it away. Memory managed to blink a few times. She felt different. More at peace. "Mom, I think you just became an angel."
"Indeed she did," A voice behind her said. Memory turned her head and stood up quickly.
"You," Memory heard the hate in her voice.
"Me," A girl with white curly hair, and eyes that seemed to change color to different gems and precious metals. "Hello Lara, my sister, how are you? I hope you're still not mad at me for killing your lover." Her eyes turned from gold to ruby red.
"Um, mom, whose this?" Andrew asked. Memory remained silent.
"She never told you about me?" The girl asked. Andrew shook his head. The girl made a tsking sound. "Well I'm Gemina, Gem for short. I'm Lara's sister, your aunt."
6.
Gemina, Andrew, and Memory stood in front of Marilynn. The queen was taking in Memory's new appearance. Her brown hair turned white, and her blood red eyes changed to a lighter shade of ruby red with flecks of emerald, and even smaller flecks of obsidian black in them. She looked so much like Gemina, that Marilynn could have called them twins. Both had wings as well. Golden and silver wings, that glittered in the light.
"So you're saying that you're an angel, Memory became one after she destroyed the necklace, and he is Memory's son who may be a demon or may be an angel?" Marilynn asked. The trio nodded. "Well we better turn Andrew into an angel before he turns evil." The trio let out a sigh of relief.
"What is our task?" Gemina asked,
"You must spend one year posing as humans, and Andrew, you need to help your neighborhood the best you can."
7.
When Emma heard the news, she cried. She didn't want Memory to go. Yet, she knew that Memory would go anyways. No matter what Emma wanted. Memory wanted her son to become an angel. So there was no way Emma expected her to stay. That, however didn't stop Emma from locking herself in her room, and crying her unbeating heart out. A knock on the door brought Emma out of her thoughts.
"Emma, Gem, Andy, and I are leaving now. I'll see you in a year," Memory called through the door. Emma sniffed.
"Ok. I-i'll see you in a year," Emma sighed before starting to sing. "Heart beats fast. Colors and promises. How to be brave? How could I love when I'm afraid to fall? But watching you stand alone. All of my doubt, suddenly goes away somehow. One step closer." She didn't expect Memory to join in.
"I have died, everyday, waiting for you. Darling don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more. Time stands still. Beauty in all she is. I will be brave. I will not let anything take away what's standing in front of me. Every breath, every hour has come to this. One step closer."
"I have died everyday, waiting for you. Darling don't be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more. And all along I believed I would find you. Time has brought your heart to me I have loved you for a thousand years, I'll love you for a thousand more." She didn't plan on singing the entire song. Yet they did. Both ending with one hand placed on the door, and their heads lightly resting on it.
"I have to go now," Memory said. Emma heard her footsteps quickly moving away, without even thinking of changing her position. She sighed. Anytime now, the voices would be back.
