Chapter 8: Blackmail

When the bell rang, it indicated that we were going to the fourth period. Lunch. As you are walking to the cafeteria, you get a notification on my phone. It's a message from an unknown number. You open up my messages app and look at the text. It almost made you faint. It was a video of when you and Yuri getting intimate with each other last night. The message that came along with the video read: "If you don't want this video on the internet, follow my directions.". You walked to lunch, sweating. Yuri had already had bento ready for you at lunch. You quickly showed Yuri the message, and she started to tear up. You hug her and tell her that everything was going to be alright.

You read the directions the anonymous messager sent, and one of them quickly confuses you. The direction was to "make out with Monika right in front of Yuri". That's when your suspicion shifted toward Monika. You show Yuri the direction, and she was on board with the idea that Monika was behind this. We decided to wait until the literature club meeting to confront her about the messages. The school day felt like it was so slow. Finally, the bell rang and that indicated to either go to your club or get out. You and Yuri stormed toward the room, where Monika had a sly grin on her face. "We know you sent us this!" Yuri said, surprisingly confidently. "Do you have proof?" Monika asked. This drew the attention of Natsuki and Sayori, who started to listen more closely. "No! But your the only one who has REALLY been out for me and Yuri's relationship. And I know Sayori wouldn't do this because she can't handle watching this stuff!" You yell. "We will never do your stupid directions!" Yuri snapped.

Monika grabbed her phone and ran out the clubroom. You run after her as fast as I could, but I couldn't catch up. Then, my phone vibrated, making me turn as white as a ghost. You slowly took out my phone, and there it was. The video of you and Yuri having sex, all over the social media platforms. You could hear the echo of almost all the student's phones making their notification sounds throughout the hallway. It was also becoming trendy, it had only been 3 minutes, and it already had 6.7k views. you ran back to the literature club to see Yuri sobbing in the corner. You couldn't believe Monika had done something like this. You were furious. But Monika was nowhere to be found. The bell rang, telling all the students to dismiss. You and Yuri try to keep a low profile, but it was impossible.

Everybody was snickering, laughing, giggling, gossiping, and other things. There were a bunch of rumors that were spreading like wildfire. You walked Yuri into her house, but this time, she didn't invite you in. It almost felt like she was giving you the cold shoulder. She shut the door violently, and I could hear her crying inside the house. You want to comfort her, but she wouldn't open the door at all. Eventually, you give up and walk home.
