Chapter 9: Near Death

The next day, you realize Natsuki and Sayori are not present at the club meeting. "Monika? Where are Sayori and Natsuki?" You reluctantly ask, still angry at her for what she did. Monika looks up and you see a faint glow in her eyes, her smile unsettles you. "I'm not sure, I don't recommend you check, though," Monika says with a serious tone. "I'm not afraid of you anymore, Monika!" You yell as you walk out of the club room. "Have fun." Monika says suspiciously. You first go to Sayori's house and knock on her door. You peek into her bedroom window, but something is blocking your view. All you see is rope. Sayori won't answer the door, so you pick the lock until it opens. 

You walk upstairs to see the door close. You knock on it first, but no answer. You gently open the door. "... Sayo-" Sayori's body... hanging there, lifeless and pale.

 You immediately run up to the rope and cut it. You put your hand to her neck, you feel a pulse, but it's extremely weak. You call 911 and give Sayori CPR until the paramedics arrive. They put an oxygen mask on her and carry her into the ambulance. Despite the chaos of the moment, you still are able to focus enough to check on Natsuki. When you arrive at her house, you hear screams of pain. "Dad! Please! Stop!" You hear Natsuki scream. This time, you don't even try to pick the lock, you bust the door down with sheer force. You grab a knife from the kitchen and head to Natsuki's room, where the source of the screams are.

When you peek into the door you see Natsuki crying and screaming. She's curled up in a ball and sobbing. 

Her father is relentless and continues to beat her. You burst into the room and jump on top of Natsuki's father and knock him down, thinking of the knife as a last resort. But he throws you off him and tries to beat you the same way he did to Natsuki. You take out the knife and stab him in the stomach. Natsuki's father falls to the ground, bleeding out. "Dad..?" Natsuki says cautiously. "Come here, sweetheart..." Natsuki's father says. "I'm sorry for everything I did to you, I love you... so... much..." Natsuki's father says before he stops moving. "What... what have you done!" Natsuki yells. You try to explain, but Natsuki is so distraught and furious. "You're a monster! A monster!" Natsuki screams. 

Natsuki sits there next to her father and screams at you to leave. You walk back to the school and back into the clubroom. "Are you ok?" Yuri asks genuinely. "Yeah... I'm fine." You say, glaring at Monika. That's when you remember something about both Natsuki and Sayori's near-death experience. Both of them had glitches near them. It wasn't your eyes playing tricks on you though, they were real. "Monika... what are you..?" You ask carefully.

Monika smiles at you, and she starts to delete the desks and floors around you.

"Welcome to my world." Monika says.
