Noah James
Noah opens the door to one of his favorite places. Seconds later his legs get tackled by his little brother Danny. "Hey, Buddy. How was school?" Danny brightly smiles and his dimples pop out, "It was good. I made a new friend today." "Really? What's his name?" Danny shakes his head just as Jessica, Noah's stepmother comes in, "Her names Winnie. She's so adorable." Noah smiles and tickles Danny side, "A girl, huh?" Danny giggles and runs off with scarlet red cheeks. "Hey, Jessie." Jessica smiles and gives him a hug, "How was your day? Coach didn't try to kill you guys today did he?" Noah groans and she breathes out a laugh, "That bad, huh?" Noah nods his head and walks upstairs to his room. He knocks his elbow on a corner after he closes his door.
"Fuckmylife." "What was that?" Noah leaps up from his bed and stares at the intruder sitting comfortably in his desk chair, "Get out, Yvette." Yvette fake pouts and files her nails unaffected, "What? No kiss?" "Fuck you." "Name the place and time." Noah's face scrunches up in disgust, "Get. Out." Yvette rolls her eyes and moves to find a more comfortable position. "Yvette, I'm warning you. Get out on your own or I'm throwing you out." She puffs put her cheeks, "Don't be like that." Noah's temper flares and he takes quick, threatening steps forward. At reaching her he roughly grabs her by her arm and drags her toward his door. He tosses her out like a mere rag doll and she yelps in surprise. "That's no way to treat your sister!" She yells through his already closed door. "You're not my sister!"

Furious knocking on his bedroom window awakens the tired jock. Confused Noah lifts his head to glare at his bedside clock. "Who the fuck is awake at this ungodly hour?!" Noah slowly sits upright and ignores the apparent importance with the incessant knocking. He slides the window open and glares at the dark figure, "What the fuck could possibly be so important that you had to wake me at 3AM on a Tuesday?!" The figure scoffs, "Move aside, idiot. It's fucking cold out here." Noah rolls his eyes and walks back over to his bed, "This better not take long." "Fuck you." Noah settles on his bed and the unannounced visitor on his desk chair. "How did you know where I live?" "Marcella gave me the address." "Okay but that still doesn't explain why you're here, Lekia." There it is, the recognition of him remembering her. "I needed a place to crash for a bit." Her shrug of nonchalance only sets Noah more on edge. He narrows his eyes and raises a questioning eyebrow. The realization of her not being able to see it makes him voice his concerns, "What happened?" "None of your business." Anger lowly bubbles in his chest at her snappy remark, "It became my business when you showed up at my house at three in the morning." His voice comes out in a low growl, "So don't fucking tell me that it's none of my business!" Lekia glares at nothing in particular for her current situation. He was right, she did come to his house at 3AM and wake him. She would have been just as pissed as he is had the tables been turned. She bites her lip, "I'm sorry." "It's fine. Now will you please tell me what's going on?" Lekia nervously chews on her lip, "I can't." Elliot groans annoyed, "Whatever then. Stay as long as you want. Bathroom's over there, closet's over there and if you're looking for me, I'll be on the couch over there." After pointing to everything, Noah grabs an extra pair of pillows and a blanket. He settles on the couch and silently listens to Lekia moving around the room. When she finally settles down and shuts off the light she whispers the faintest of things, "Thank you, Noah." Noah nods off into sleep with her quiet words playing in his head.
