Amalthea Galanos

Thea is awakened by the smell of coffee the next morning. She sits up right and groggily walks into the kitchen. "Well, good morning, sleepy head, you guys were passed out before I was even home." Thea waves Fallon's laughing statement off, "Why are you so happy this morning?"

"Grayson surprised me with a visit." Thea chokes on her sip of coffee, "Hold on, Grayson from London, just out of no where surprised you with a visit? I guess someone owes me an  apology." Fallon rolls hr eyes and sighs dramatically, "You were right, I had nothing to worry about, I apologize for being such a brat about it the other day." Thea's smile is both sleepy and pleased at the same time, "Now was it that hard?"

"What's hard? Oh good Lord, Fallon, spare us the details from the bedroom." Fallon's cheeks flare up in red and Thea nearly tumbles from her seat from laughing so hysterically. Dagon's face is priceless when he slowly backs away from  the fuming female, "Easy there, Fal, I was only..." He bolts from the kitchen with Fallon hot on his tail.

Heavy footsteps approach the kitchen and she waves while taking a sip from her mug. "Good 'morning, Thea." "Morning, Mrs. Anderson." Mr. Anderson stops short when he comes into the kitchen, "You're awake before Fallon?" Thea shakes her head and opens her mouth to answer.

"I'm going to kill you!"

"Never mind, I see Dagon is awake as well. That boy will just never learn. Have you had breakfast yet, Thea?" Thea shakes her head and finishes thee last of her coffee in one gulp.

"Morning, everyone, what's for breakfast? Oh, hey, Thea, I didn't know you were here." Mr. and Mrs. Anderson send each other similar looks but say nothing. Marcella quickly jumps to offer her assistance in making pancakes before her parents decide to investigate her strange behavior.

"So, Thea, what's got you all blue?" Thea is confused for a second before remembering her eye, "Well, sir, you see, the bathroom door and I had a disagreement and I let him get in one good blow before going down on him." Mr. Anderson's laugh is loud and barking, whereas Marcella and her mother giggle in small spurts.

"And I assume you won?" Thea nods a fierce nod and Mr. Anderson claps in triumph, "That's my girl."Everyone bursts out laughing again and a new face walks into the kitchen, "Oh, my darling, who is this pretty face?"

Thea's eyes widen at the beautiful girl's strange statement, "Uh... hi?" "Sweetpea, don't be shy, introduce yourself, I don't bite, unless you want me to." She adds a wink at the end and Thea stares shocked, "Um...what?" The girl pouts and holds Thea's chin between her thumb and forefinger. She moves her head from side to side then tuts and lets go, "Not the brightest pea in the pot I see. That's a shame."

"Daniella, don't scare Thea, she's not awake yet. Want some breakfast?" Daniella shakes her head, "Nope, I'm trying this new diet, where you don't eat anything until you feel like you're gonna pass out, then you it a tiny block of cheese. Said to do wonders."

Mrs. Anderson's eyebrows are almost tucked into her hairline before she regains control of herself and turns to Thea, "Please tell me you'll eat something?" Thea laughs and nods her head, "I'm starving." Mrs. Anderson dramatically turns to her husband, "Where did our family go wrong, Jasper?" He laughs and shrugs his shoulders, "They're from your side of the family, Jenny."

As if finally realizing other people are awake Lily runs into the room and starts barking at Daniella's fur boots. "Yes, hello, Lily, it is nice to see you too."

Thea observes the crazy family and feels the sadness wash over her for a second before Jenny pulls her into the wacky circle to taste her secret bubblegum-pancakes recipe.

"How's your head?" "Throbbing." Thea grimaces and gently eases the ice pack back onto his jaw. Marcella opens her mouth to apologize again but Daniella cuts her off, "Don't pay him too much attention. He's a major Drama King. Don't allow him to make you feel bad. He's just basking in all this attention." She smiles a gentle smile in return to Daniella's.

Fallon enters the room and grumbles about life being unfair. She shoulders her backpack and calls to Thea, "We're gonna be late." Thea jumps up and scrambles after Fallon with her bag flying after her.

Thea basks in the well needed sun light as she and Fallon drive to school. She turns on the radio and one of her favorite songs start playing through the speakers. To her surprise Fallon starts singing along to it. "Since when do you know The Chainsmokers?" Fallon glances at her with an amused smile at her gaping mouth, "What sane person doesn't?" Thea's mouth shuts firmly and she snaps her gaze forward. Fallon laughs at her displeasure for not knowing everything about her best friend and returns her gaze to the road ahead.

After arriving at school they parts ways with a promise of meeting up after school for their scheduled study session.
