Chapter Fifty-Four

Amalthea Galanos

Thea tries to match her sister's excitement as they get ready for Jess and Victor's wedding rehearsal. Her plain black and white dress presses into her stomach with a familiar security. She runs her hands across the bow at her neck and she makes sure that it is well tied. 

Thalia exits the bathroom and Thea lowly whistles. Her sister's long legs are emphasized by the short emerald green dress and her eyes are rimmed with dark kohl. Her long mane hangs in waves down to her waist and her already incredible height is heightened by gorgeous black heels. 

"Thalia, wow... you look incredible." Thalia smiles an appreciative smile, "Do you think he'll like it?" Thea nods her head, slightly dumbstruck, "Vick's gonna love it." Thalia smiles and her eyes gleam as she looks her sister up and down, "Thea..." Her eyes tear up, "You... I can't believe you're all grown up..." Thea rushes to her now amazonian sister, "No, no tears. The car's gonna be here soon. No smudging your incredible masterpiece." Thalia nods and tries to dab the tears away. 

The girls make their way downstairs together and find both Ryan and Calum in the kitchen. Ryan stops mid-bite and gapes at them, "Wha- Thea, are you wearing heels?" Thea laughs and lifts her ankle to show off her gorgeous shoes, "Do you like them?" Ryan nods and smiles, "You guys look great." Thalia goes to stand next to him and she towers over him with at least four inches. He narrows his eyes and visibly straightens his back a little more.

Normally, Thalia is the same height as Ryan but it seems that now that she has passed him he has a little more trouble accepting the fact. Calum clears his throat and all eyes in the room turn to him, "You guys look... good. And Thalia, thanks for being taller than Ryan." He laughs and walks out of the room. Ryan glowers and bids the girls a good evening then sets off after his younger brother.

Vick's mouth hangs open as he stares at Thalia. Her attire this evening truly suits her. Thea gently nudges him in her direction, "Go. I'll be fine." He looks at her thankfully and practically jogs in the direction that Thalia disappeared. Thea sighs to herself and stares off into the distance.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Thea startles out of her thoughts and turns to face the beautiful elderly woman. She smiles and shakes her head, "They're not important enough." The woman smiles a gentle smile and gently squeezes Thea's shoulder, "Every thought is important, otherwise we would not have them." Thea is speechless for a moment but luckily Jess saves her from looking like a complete imbecile, "Thea! You look incredible." Thea hugs her back and pushes her at an arm's length to look at her gorgeous red gown, "Me? You look amazing, Jess."

Jess waves her off and gestures to the beautiful woman, "This is my mother, Christina Blake. Mom, this is Noah's girlfriend, Thea Galanos." Christina practically yanks Thea into a hug, "I've heard so much about you, thank you so much for being there for my grandson. He- we all love you for that even more." 

Thea's eyes tear up and she squeezes the woman back, "Thank you."
