Chapter 3: We Pull a Hermes

Percy

It's been about a week since I met Dick, sweet boy. I'm still not physically able to go on patrol again, or even have a sword fight!

I can manage to walk around the manor without needing to collapse, but I'm still slow. If I am at the pool or in water, I am pretty fine. I've been drinking a bunch of damn water, damn, I want some. Gah, stupid ADHD! Stay on track brain!

I've yet to go to the Watchtower, hey, perks of being the secret eighth founder of the JLA. I saw Bruce and Dick planning a prank on Diana, it better not be till after I can run again.

I was sitting in my room, cutting my hair. It's too long, so I'm cutting it to just below my shoulders. That's when Bruce came in, and he looked happy. I smiled as I finished chopping my hair short.

"Hey Bruce, what's up?" I Asked, as I realized I still have my grey strip of hair.

"Well, we're having the founding JLA members here for dinner. It's something we do every year, to celebrate the foundation of the JLA." I nodded, remembering these dinners. They were always interesting, I can't lie.

"And since you disappeared, we always have an empty place setting for you. Since your back, we can finally fill that setting. What do you think?" He Asked, and I saw there was more to this.

"What else are you planning?" I asked, Bruce smirked.

"We're pulling a Hermes." He said, and my eyes widened. I know what he means, and I am surprised he wants to do that.

"Wait, so you want to take advantage of the fact I'm still physically injured, and Prank my cousin?" I asked, as I slowly put down the scissors I used to cut my hair.

"Yep, so, will you please do it?" He Asked, and I smirked.

"Hades yeah! I so have missed Pranking, and Diana will be the perfect candidate. I know just the trick to, I'll vapor travel. Essentially it's where I turn to mist and can go anywhere. But I've got another cool feature, it's where my body can slowly dissolve to mist, it mirrors the effect of what happens to me if I would use more power than I should." I say smirking, and Bruce allows me to.

Time skip...

The JLA members all sat at the table, they were sad. It was their annual dinner, but they still were missing a member.

"These aren't the same without Tide." Flash Said sadly, and Wonder Woman has to hold back tears.

"I'm just glad my uncle has finally gotten over her death, the oceans have gotten significantly better." Diana Said sadly, and everyone just nodded. Then Bruce walked in, they all knew he missed their comrade the most. So, why was he smirking.

"Dick, please give them all the files." He said, and Dick appeared with six files in Manila folders. He gave each of them one, then ran out of the room laughing. When the members opened them, they instantly choked on their water.

Status: Currently recovering from almost bleeding out, found with several scars, and had head trauma.'

They couldn't believe it, she was found. Everyone looked up at Bruce, and he smiled. Gesturing for them to follow, he headed to a room.

When he opened the door, there in all her idioticness, was Percy. She was in the bed, and her body kept going to mist and back to solid. He eyes were open, and they looked dead.

"Alfred found her bleeding out on the front steps, I thought you'd all like to see her." He said, and they all felt hope rise.

"She's alive." Diana breathes, as a smile finally made its way onto her face.

"When she gets better, she's probably gonna best your ass Clark. Remember her childhood, she's gonna be pissed when she learns about Connor." Superman paled.

"Dear god, I'm toast." He said, and Flash laughed.

"I still don't get how she can beat you in combat, without using any of her powers." John Said, as he laughed.

"Well, she only has used her powers as a last resort." J'hon said, smiling. Percy was the most powerful person on the planet, and she was extremely modest.

"Maybe she'll have fun by training the team, even if it's just to entertain herself." Hawk Girl Said, then suddenly, Percy just vanished to mist.

"Percy!" They Cried out, even Bruce. He knew she was gonna do that, but god, he never saw her do that before.

"Awwwww, glad to see you all care." Said a voice from behind them. They all spun around to see Percy awake, and leaning on the doorframe. She was doing her signature smirk, the one associated with her hero alias.

"Percy!" They all Cried out in shock, and Percy broke out laughing. She actually fell down and was gripping her sides.

"Hahaha, you should have seen yourselves. It was hilarious!" She said between her fits of laughter.

"Wait, you've been up?!?" Cried out Flash, and Percy got up slowly, but smiled.

"Yep, I think it was a week ago. I've already visited my dad, Annabeth actually almost killed me." She said, that's when Diana realized something.

"Kelp Face, you are so dead! I warned you to never pull a Hermes on me, I'm gonna stick you in Thalia's tree!" Diana yelled, as she charged her cousin. Percy smiles, then began to run. Leaving behind a laughing JLA, and a cackling Robin.

"Ahh, this is how the dinner should be. Everything is back to normal, now, let's eat!" Hawk Girl Said, as she smiled. Not even caring that she was just pranked, just glad that all the founders could eat together.

"Diana, no, no, I'm still healing!" Percy Cried out, before a loud crash was heard. Then followed by Wonder Woman appearing out of nowhere smiling.

"Dick, you may want to go help Percy. She just got a lesson on why she doesn't prank me." Diana Said, then Dick jumped out of the vent, and sprinted to the direction he heard the crash.
