My eyes flutter open and I feel a horrible pain in forehead. "Why does this always happen?" I whisper to myself.
"I do sort of feel like a floating butterfly," Kahmunrah's voice says. I push myself up to see him wearing Muhammad Ali's robe.
"You are crazier than a road lizard," Jed says.
"Mr. Egypt, these two here heard that we were taking over the world and they want in. I don't know who they are, but they are on exhibit here too, apparently," Ivan says. I look over to see Oscar the Grouch and Darth Vader.
"I don't even know what they are," Kahmunrah says. "I'm sorry, but we're all full up on our Axis of Evil today. Sorry," He says to the two.
"Oh, come one-" Oscar starts. I take this time to talk to Jed.
"Psst, Jed!" I quietly scoot over to the hourglass.
"Glad you could join us, missy," he says.
"I have a plan to get us out of here," I explain, looking at the tiny man.
"Shut your big bazoo and listen. You're hogtied from here to Sunday. Even if you did get free, how do you plan on putting up a fight in your best bib and tucker?" he asks. I turn to show him the knife I stole off the pile of gold I was laying next to. "Ah," he nods.
"Attention!" Napoleon says. They all advert their attention to the window. I cut my bindings behind my back and free my ankles.
"You're boyfriend's brother is a serious nutcase," Jed says while he watches me.
"You're right, he is nut- Hey. Ahk's not my boyfriend!" I whisper yell at him. He gives me an unbelieving look. "I half a mind to leave you here," I threat.
"Maybe you should," Jed says.
"Are you crazy?! I'm not leaving you!" I whisper, pulling my heels off.
"If you go and take me, I become a liability. You need to be bale to move fast. Remember those lessons you gave the Huns? That big hoopla you said about minimizing your space and focusing your mind. You need to do that. I don't care a continental about my life, but I will not be the reason you get hurt or worse. Just go. Get a wiggle on!" He yells at me. I nod press my finger to the glass. He puts his hand on the other side.
"I'll come back for you," I say before jumping up and running out. I make my way to safe corner before taking a breather. I unclip my skirt and pull it down, revealing the yoga pants I had hidden underneath. "That's better," I sigh. I look around to see a ballerina statue dancing. I fold up my skirt and set it by her. "Mind watching that? Thank you," I say, doing an arabesque then bowing. I then run over to the Think, whose flirting with another statue. "Hey, have you see a lady in a tan coat and man who looks like he has no idea what he's doing?" I ask.
"He went that way. Said something about Einstein's," the Thinker points.
"Thank you, Thinker," I say before running off. I squint my eyes through the window to see the two running towards the Lincoln Memorial. I dart out the door and follow. Occasionally ducking behind bushes to hide from warriors, gangsters, and soldiers. As I get halfway there, I hear Lincoln get up from his chair. "Jesus H," I whisper to myself, taking a step back. When I reach the memorial, Lincoln is setting Larry down.
"They're coming!" Amelia yells and the three of duck behind a pillar, myself behind one and them behind another. I look at Larry from across the way. I shoot him a thumbs up. "Mr. President. I'm gonna need you to hold still now," Amelia says.
"Surrounded- What?"
"Abraham, freeze,"
"Freeze, I uh... Uh," he then freezes as if he was caught doing something.
