I bump into a familiar face. "Larry. Thank God you made it down here," I smile. He notices the ID on my hip.
"If you had that, why couldn't you let me down on your own?" he asks.
"If they look at the footage and see that I brought a guest with me, I would loose all credibility," I explain. He simply nods. We walk though a small gate to see an army of Egyptians attacking a large red crate.
"Oh, my God," Larry says, shining his flashlight around. We both peer into the crate.
"You little, troublemaker. I'll deal with you later," Larry says. He then struggles to get in.
"Allow me," I say, pushing past him. I slide in the gap with ease. I grab the tablet and slide back out. "Sorry, guys," I say, looking back into the crate. I had it to Larry and it shines.
"No, no, no, no!" we both shout repeatedly. I then hear a voice behind me.
"Get them! Close it!" Kahmunrah yells in Coptic. (Don't take my word for this translation. It just seems to fit.). All of the solders then point their spears at us. "Who are you?" he asks in Coptic.
"We mean no harm," I reply, in Coptic.
"Silence," Kahmunrah says to me before turning back to Larry. "Uh, parlez-vous, parlez-vous fancais? English. English, perhaps," He says.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" Larry asks. I hit him on the back of the head, like old times.
"I am Kahmunrah, the great king of the great kings. And from the darkest depths of ancient history, I have come back to life!" He proudly declares.
"Uh-huh," Larry and I both say.
"Perhaps you did not hear what I just said. I am a centuries-old Egyptian Pharaoh. I was dead, but now I have come back to life!" he declares again.
'Yeah, no. I heard that. I got that. Welcome back," Larry says, unenthusiastically.
"Uh... Uh.. Who-Who are you?" Kahmunrah asks.
"Larry. Larry Daley of Daley devices. This is my friend, Kamilah Tifft, of New York. It's funny. I uh. I know your brother, Ahkmenrah."
"Do you?"
"Yeah."
"Oh, he knows baby brother. Oh the favorite son."
I decide to intervene. "What are you doing? Kah murdered Ahk in jealous rage, remember?" I whisper angrily.
"Yeah, good kid," Larry continues, ignoring me.
"Isn't he just? No, mother and father gave him the best of everything, and I do mean everything. They even gave him the throne. The throne which was rightfully mine!" Kahmunrah yells.
"No, he never mentioned that," Larry mumbles. "I should've listened to you," he whispers.
"Oh, I'll just bet he didn't. Well, now begins the era of Kahmunrah, because I have come back to- never mind. Just hand me the tablet," he says.
"Don't give it to him, Gigantor!" Jed yells. Atilla yells in Hun.
"Oh, silence in there, please!" Kahmunrah yells. "Don't make me come in there!"
"I will not be muzzled!" Jed yells.
"Look, that tablet is more powerful than you, Larry Daley of Daley Devices, can possible imagine. Bringing things back to life is just a parlor trick," Kahmunrah begins stepping to us, causing us to back up. "With it, I shall unlock the Gate to the Underworld and bring forth my army from the land of the dead. So, if it's not to much trouble, READY," he yells the last word in Coptic. "Hand it over," he finishes.
