*Breaking News* “This is Sarah Fergusen with KYSD news. The outbreak has become more severe and I have not heard any updates from anyone. I fear that I may be the only one left. However, I am hoping someone will see this. Please, stay safe, and alive. I will keep broadcasting daily until I hear something!”

William

As Will walked back to the car, he could not fathom the scene he had just encountered. He was now aware that is was no longer light out. How many days had it been? He could not remember for sure. As he watched for any approaching zombies, this term still did not sit well with him, he made his way back to the vehicle. He managed to sneak by under their radar, thankfully.

He opened the car door and climbed in, again closing the door as quietly as possible. Everyone but Olivia was sleeping. Rick, he was unsure whether or not he was sleeping or still passed out from the blow to the head he had received from his wife.

“Where is Stella?” Olivia had a confused look on her face.

“You cannot tell Rick that you saw her.”

“What? Why? Sheriff, he’ll be worried!” Her voice was raising.

“Shh, keep your voice down. We cannot let Rick know that we know where she is. The site I seen was not any that I feel a father should have to deal with. It is better to let him think that they ran off.”

“What are you talking about? You are worrying me now.” She had a scared look in her eye. It was then that he realized he had never seen her without that look in the last few days.

“She tried to save Aly’s life. Let’s just leave it at that. I am not sure if it worked or not but let’s hope for that little girls sake that it didn’t.”

He kept replaying the look on Stella’s face. He could see the blood everywhere. He was trying to grasp the concept that that little girl was now laying there with no arm.  He wondered if she was going to bleed out or if she would still turn into one of them.

As he watched out the window he realized that their world was turned upside down, he had no idea how he was going to make it. He had a responsibility to these people, or at least that is how he felt. He watched these things walking, staggering, everywhere. How could anyone possibly live in the world like this?

All he knew was that he had to get out of town, and keep everyone safe. He made a promise to himself not to tell Rick about Stella or Aly.

Richard

As he opened his eyes, he could see how bright the sun was. Rick was looking through a glass window at a beautiful sunrise. He lifted his head and realized he had a hellacious headache.

“Ugh” he sighed. Wait, what was he doing in a car? Where in the hell are Stella and Aly?!

“Will!” Rick screamed.

Will jolted awake, “What the hell Rick?”

“Where is Stella and Aly?” He could see a confused look on Will’s face.

“Don’t you remember?”

“Remember what?”

Will sighed, “Aly got bit, Rick. Stella ran off with her… After she hit you in the head with a stick for trying to stop her.”
