The Shadow

Everything was going how he wanted it to. He had not planned on these two being a part of it, but the more the merrier! He has new test subjects. This excited him in a way he could not explain.

Aly was sleeping. She was not chained up, he had no worry that she would not flee. Stella however, was chained he could not risk her taking off. He sat and watched, knowing that he full control over these two. His next two testers! The thought made him jump inside.

He wondered if he should be worried that such a thing makes him so happy! Now he had to decide, what was he going to do?

Olivia

As they all stood in front of the Kingston sheriff, they realized how crazy they sounded.

“You people are absolutely crazy! Do you not see that people are just fine?” Sheriff Code was very adamant they were nuts.

She had no idea what was going on, but something was not right. She had only wished that her mom or dad were with her, but she was alone and she had no idea what was going on or how to fix it.

Richard

“We are not crazy! Take us back and we will prove it!” He had to convince this old man to take him back there. If not to prove his point but to find Stella. He could not help but wonder where Aly was, he knew she was dead but had his wife killed her?

“How in the world are you going to prove something that isn’t real?” The Sheriff was really starting to irk Rick and he knew he had to think quick,

“My wife is back there. She took off and I couldn’t find her! I need help please!!” He could see the good Samaritan part of the sheriff starting to peak,

“Fine. But you better not being lying to me about your wife!”

“I’m not I promise” Rick, pleased with himself, assured the sheriff.

Sherriff Code

Marvin Code had been the Sheriff in Kingston for 40 plus years and never had he heard just a cockamamie story before. Zombies?! Did these people think he was an idiot? Zombies are not even real.

“Let’s go.” He just hoped he had not made a mistake to trust these new found breed of idiots that happen to make their way into his town.

“I will take you back to Blaine County, and from there, I do not know what I will do.” Or maybe institutionalize you all, he thought to himself.

As the three dipshits followed him to his cruiser he began to doubt his judgment. Had he just walked himself into a possible disaster? Were these people off their rockers and had escaped from some loony bin?

It was too late to turn back on helping them. The good Samaritan in him hoped that they were legit, but he had some serious doubts.

Will

He knew that the sheriff was skeptical and did not want to take them back. Hell, he wasn’t even sure he wanted to go back. Things were normal here, were they truly crazy?! Maybe it was all a horrid dream. Crazy or not, if Aly was still alive he needed to find both her and Stella.

Olivia

It was getting dark now. They were still driving back to Blaine County and she wanted to sleep. As her eyelids closed, she said goodnight to her mother and father in her mind. Wherever they were she hoped it was better than here. And then, she slept.
