[Darshan]:
Priti, Shubh and I had decided that we'll fix days and take leave from our work chance by chance, so today was my turn to stay with Aaruhi while Priti and Shubh had gone to work. Aaruhi was in her room and I sat on the couch in the living room. I switched on the T.V and hopped from one channel to another when finally I stopped on a music channel. Old retro songs were being played on the channel and at that time, one of my favorite songs - Ek Ajnabee Haseena Se - was being played. My entire soul gets filled with love eachtime I hear that song and everytime I hear that song, my and Aaruhi's meet during our college days flourishes in my mind.
(flashback)
I gently knocked the door of the principal's office. Last year my attendance was extremely low, he had said that he won't allow me to attend my exams but my parents convinvced him. I walked towards his desk and stood near the chair that was kept in front of his table, "Yes sir", I asked in the politest way I could. "Hmm Darshan, you know what was the condition of your last year's attendance, right", he asked and I nodded looking towards the Parker pen which was kept on his table. 'Oh Shit! This man writes with a Parker. Ya why not, after all he has the money of so many students' fee in his big 3BHK round-round stomach. He would surely have rubbed his stomach and a ginnie would have come out of his navel, whom he asked for a Parker pen, he went inside again and would have brought some money with him', I thought in my mind. "Are you listening Darshan?", he snapped. "Y.. Yes sir", I lied. Shut up, who wants to listen to you? I am sure, anyone in his home doesn't listen to him too. "Here, take this. I want this to be signed by your father", he said and handed me an envelope. "Okay sir", I said and took the envelope from him and left.
"What happened? What did that antique piece said?", my friends asked. "God knows", I said and rolled my eyes. "But he gave me this", I added and shoved the envelope in air. "Open it", Rayan - one of my friend- orderd. I tore the envelope from the top and took out the letter from inside. I unfolded it, "Fuck!", I exclaimed and broke out into a laughter as soon as I saw it. "Gone mad or what?", he asked. "Guys, it's a college or what? I mean can you believe it? It's a 100 Rupee stamp paper", I said in disbelief. "What!", everyone said in unison and started laughing. "I, Rajendra Raval, father of Darshan Raval - A student of St. Andrew's College - assure you that Darshan will regularly attend classes and will get at least 75% attendance, else he can be stopped from appearing for his exams and the college can take action against him and we won't interfere.", I read. "What the hell! How is 75% even possible? I mean who'll come to college so regularly", I snapped making a ball of the envelope and threw it away in annoyance. Me, Rayan and Nitin left from there and started going towards the canteen when a paper ball hit my head. "What the fuck", I said in anger and turned around.(Oh hello! So it's time for my favorite part of the story..😈☺)
