Last Few Days

Chapter - 19

[Darshan]:
I did my best, but couldn't find out the reason of her anger and it seriously took me one whole goddamn day to figure out that she saw me with Neha. I was sitting close to her, with my hand around her neck and I was continuously disturbing her by tickling her.
The next day, we again talked during rehearsals. "So you were jealous of Neha, right", I asked with a devilish smile on my face. "No, I was not jealous. Why would I be?", she replied. "Oh really", I dramatically added and raised my eyebrow. And then came the step, which I desperately wanted to do. She had to take a round and fell backwards with my hand's support. "Neha's my cousin", I added the moment she fell backwards. I could see a spark in her eyes after listening to my words. I was very happy that she was back to normal and I was right, she was jealous. "Beautiful", the choreographer exclaimed. "Darshan, what I said, you guys will look beautiful together and so you are", his assistant added and I had an ear to ear smile. "Did you practice yesterday?", the choreographer asked. "No, actually I had to go somewhere", Aaruhi replied. "Ya but we will do today", I instantly added. "Okay, so you guys practice and we'll see you tomorrow", he replied and left. I smiled and shoved my hand towards Aaruhi. She held it and we started practicing and this time, I did it properly, I mean I touched her. I had a constant ear to ear smile on my face and couldn't stop myself from looking at her. After we were done, Aaruhi packed her bag and started leaving. 'Say it Darshan, say it, say it, ahhh, but how, don't think just say it', the inner me shouted. I closed my eyes for a moment and said "Aaruhi". She turned back to look at me. "Actually I wanted to say something", I slowly added. "Ya, what's that", she asked. I walked towards her and stopped leaving a gap of two to three steps between us. I hesitatedly looked in sides and moved my hands through my hair. My hands badly shivered and I fumbled. "I.... Actually I wanted to say that..... umm.... I", I hesitated and fumbled bably. I took a deep breath, "ILoveYou", I said in one breath. She burst into a huge smile, and came towards me leaving a gap of just a few inches. She didn't say anything, just winked at me and bit her lower lip. She turned around to leave, I tried to stop her by holding her hand, but she escaped. "Hey, what was that supposed to mean?", I asked but she ignored me and went out of the room. I hung my head low in disappointment and started packing my things. "Darshan", I heard her voice. I looked up and saw her standing near the gate. "What?", I flatly asked. She lip synced something. Although I understood what she said, but I wanted to hear it, so I pretended that I didn't understand. "What?", I asked and furrowed my eyebrows. She repeated her lip syncing. "What happened Aaruhi? Can't you say it loud? I can't understand", I said in disgust. She gave me a death stare. "I love you too, idiot", she finally said aloud and I gave a victorious smile. "What the hell! You understood in the first time, isn't it?", she asked and I nodded my head. "You...", she said and both of us started laughing.
