'No, no no, and no. Absolutely not, son.' My father firmly stated, his arms crossed.

'But why not, dad? All the other kids have Pokemon, and I'm almost eleven!' I ask, wailing my arms around dramatically.

'I didn't have Pokemon as a kid, and neither did Grandma Psncure! Or her father, or her great grandfather, or her-'
'Dad, I know, I get it-'
'No one in our family has owned a Pokemon, for generations. And we're keeping that tradition!'

'But why, what wrong has Pokémon given us?' I ask, I just want one Pokemon! Cyndaquill, Totodile, or even Chikorita will do! Just any Pokemon! Is that too hard to ask?

'No more questions, just accept the fact that you are to have no Pokémon ever! And that, is final!' He raised his voice and glared at me, I hold back my tears. And storm out of the room, my long back hair almost smacking me in the face.

I slam the door, and rush to the window. I jump out of it and land a branch and rush down the tree. I know, I have a tree next to my house that allows me to sneak out. Keep scrolling.

I ran to the New Bark Town as quick as I could, rubbing my tears away in the process. Why does New Bark Town have to be so far away from Violet City?!

Once I reach the doors I got slammed in the face by the door, wow thanks. That totally didn't hurt.
I fall back with my sarcasm not catching me.

'Oh my Arcanine, Ka- Kamau?' A familiar voice, not Kobayashi's but familiar. I look up, seeing a frantic looking boy with brown hair and brown eyes, holding his Chikorita in his arms. Uh, who is this? Okay think, Kioshi think. Come on brain, be smart.

I think I know it, that's right it's-

'Endra?' I ask, he blinks and then sighed with relief. 'Jinendra, I'm glad you're okay.'

I feel dumb now.

I lift myself off and brush my shoulders, 'Sorry, Ji-'
'No no, I'm sorry for slamming the door on your face.' Jinendra scratches the back of his neck, while his Chikorita squeaks a 'Chiko, chikorita!'

Oh yeah this is the part where I chuckle and say I have to go get a Pokemon that I'm not supposed to be getting, because family traditions and stuff.

'Its alright, but I' I chuckle, 'better go receive my Pokémon.' Jinendra gasps, 'Oh I'm sorry, but Chikorita was the last-'

'Out of the way, losers!'

I wonder who that could be.
