My night was soggy, I didn't sleep well but I woke up strong enough for hygiene, feeding Billy and laying down back to sleep. My shift for today is not until in the afternoon so I still have time to look responsible.

A knock on my door wakes me earlier than I wanted. I open to see Gina grinning widely at me; my overly busy bestie I don't see often but chat and call everyday. I form a pathetic angry face and run into my bed room.

"Come on Jessie, I said I'm sorry!", she yells
" Ah dopht peblive you", I muffled voice from the bed rings out
She walks up to me, rolls me over in a split second but this only makes me grumble even more.

"I'm tired Gee, my best friend hates me ", I say with one eye open and a smirk
She pouts and replies how awesome she thought I was and could never hate me. We decided she preparing me breakfast will do as an apology.

I settle down to a great cup of coffee, sardines and bread with orange juice and of course bacon. I can only smile and tease her but she smiles but doesn't tease back.
No comeback from Gina means something bad

"Gee, what's wrong?", she looks up to me with sad eyes and opens her palms like she doesn't know what I'm talking about
A sharp look and stares later
"Okay okay, I kinda lost my job cos the company wanted to lay off some people and now I'm searching for a new one"
"Oh I'm really sorry Gee, I'll help you look plus I know you are well qualified. You could get one with your eyes closed", I try to cheer her up

"Well, I can't keep paying rent for my apartment, it's too expensive"
That's right. Gina's apartment is a luxurious one, I won't blame her though. Her salary could cover it. The interior was like soft heaven, I tried the bed once and slept for two days. I still wonder how she gets up early from there, the kitchen is state of the art; modern and chic.
Losing a job like this will affect her and we both knew it.
It felt weird though
I had a job and she didn't. It was usually the other way round.

After she left, I figured I would be late for my shift but went in anyway.
My change and work routine was almost the same until the return of the she devil.

Dressed in a sharp red corporate gown, her hair flowing and her bag and heels the same colour of black, all screaming of expensive designers, she pranced all over like she owned the place
Technically she did, but what the heck

I had seen two of the Williams children and I have to say, they don't lack good looks; Shawn with his soulful blue eyes, wonderful chin, rock solid bod, kiss worthy lips and.......

CALM DOWN JESS, we get it
The sister was also beautiful, she also had brown eyes that bored holes into your soul, dark hair, model body and an outstanding charisma but she summed her look up with feline DNA.

I guess you could say she loved the power
The Williams were preparing a banquet of some kind, large event with large people and by large, I mean rich. They hold it annually for all business partners, friends and family.
As she backed orders to the help, including me, I noticed a familiar face searching for something. I kept watching him until our eyes clasped and he stopped like he found what he was looking for. My breath hitched in my throat but I resumed my work in a careless manner.

Like a hawk looking for prey, her eyes loomed over me and stayed, watching me as I fumbled under the stare and glare. I tried to compose myself but remained shaky

"You!! You are that maid that almost killed my father. What's wrong with you? Do you have a habit of messing things up?" she zeroed on me

Yes I do. One time I wrecked my dad's golf clubs and they couldn't figure how I did cos those things are made strong and I was just 7
