liv's pov

hugging daniel made me feel all giddy and happy on the inside. there's something different about him than all the other boys i've met. he insisted on paying for my coffee, there was nothin for me to do except accept his offer.

we walked around town to a nearby park and got to know each other even more while on the swings. "I don't mean to be rude or intruding but have you had a boyfriend before?" daniel asks out of the blue. "umm.." i start hesitantly, "it's a touchy subject but i trust you enough with what im about to say." I start fiddling with my fingers and bouncing my leg up and down. "I um I had an a-abusive boyfriend back when I was 16. h-he was my first boyfriend and I didn't know what to do. he told me that if I ever told anyone he would hurt me even more than he already did-" I started to tear up and daniel noticed. he quickly got up from his swing and crouched in front of me, trying to calm me down.
"hey,hey. you don't have to tell me anymore if you don't feel like it" I shook my head and continued, "I have to get this out. I eventually broke up with him since we got in a heated argument over something so stupid, he was slapping me and kicking me until I couldn't breathe. I mustered up the courage to yell at him and end everything with him." i let out a shaky breath, "I haven't been in a relationship ever since-" Daniel gets up to hug me, i flinch at his touch but relax once I realize I'm safe with him and hug back.

Daniel drove me home and I invited him inside. he met my roommate and we headed to my room (don't think wrong, ya nasty). he started humming to songs until- "would you sing for me?" I interrupted. "huh?" he asks, wide-eyed. "will you sing a song for me?" I repeat nervously, "uh- sure" he started singing can't help falling in love by elvis presley and I cuddled up to him. I already feel at home with this kid.

UGH this makes me sad but ANOTHER CHAPTER because I have nothing else to do in life :))))
