daniels pov

i did it, i finally confessed my feelings for her. it took me a while to figure out my feelings and build up the courage to do such a thing. "i mean i'm deeply in love with you, i'm in live with your personality, with how you don't care what people think about you," i let out and huff as i see liv covering her thighs that i know have scars on.

"you're beautiful inside and out. even with those scars-" i hear her lights gasp, but continue "i don't think anything different about you because of those scars. you're still the same liv i've known for the past 7 months, nothing that has scarred your past will change the fact that i love you for you."

livs pov

"- i love you for you" i hear daniel say and i instantly start sobbing, i know sounds pretty stupid, but with the fact that he saw right through me without knowing my past made me emotional. "i love you too daniel, and i mean it" i say as i wipe my tears. "what i've been trying to say is, liv, will you be my girlfriend?" he asks, wiping the rest of the tears with his thumb. i nod, knowing i won't be able to say anymore, and hug him tightly.

third person pov

daniel and liv spent the rest of the night watching the 'divergent' series and she ended falling asleep on his chest in the middle of the movie. he looked down as soon as he heard her soft snores and smiled knowing that she was finally his.

but that smile slowly faded as he looked down at the scars on her thighs, wondering why she would do that to herself when she was the happiest person alive.

or at least that's what he thought.
