After the entrance ceremony, it started to get dark so you went outside to train your semblence for a few hours. Your semblence is the ability to possess someone, but only for ten seconds at a time, and at the cost of your original body collapsing into unconciousness (Like Yuu Otosaka from Charlotte).

You looked for someone to test your abilities on, and decided to try it on Yang, Weiss and the blonde guy that helped Ruby earlier. Your iris turned white for a second, then your eyes shut and your body collapsed, then the guys iris turned white. You had control and took a look into his memories.

"Hmm, got into Beacon using fake transcripts. Name is Jaune Arc, has seven sisters..." you continued, then you saw Ruby obliviously heading in your direction, so you withdrew from Jaunes body and quickly headed out the front door. You bumped shoulders with Ruby, but continued on your way in a rush.

"Hey!" Ruby asked irritably, but when she turned around, you already disappeared into the crowd of students who are walking around to arrange sleeping places. Kirito saw the whole scene that went on, but brushed it off to allow you some space to be alone.

"That was too close." You said to yourself with an unsteady breath. You didn't want to face Ruby just yet, but then a nerve wrecking thought crossed your mind...

"What happens if she's in the same class as me!?" You thought, which in turn made your blood turn cold. You wondered what would happen if you encountered her in class, and if she starts an argument about what happened three weeks ago. What would your friends think of you if she accused you of cheating as she did that night?

You felt the presence of two people behind you, and this caused you to freeze.

"Whoever you are... you'd better apologise to my sister!" Yang yelled, the dark made it impossible for her to identify the figure as you. Then the second one called you out.

"Yeah? I know that you're the same mysterious person from the airship! You owe me an explanation!" Ruby called into the darkness.

"That's it. It's over." You thought with your heart pounding three hundred miles per hour.

You slowly came out of the shadows, your mask was still on.

"Take the mask off so I can see your face." Ruby said sternly.

You slowly reached up to remove the mask, and when it came off, Ruby gasped.

"I know what you're thinking..." you started, but Ruby cut you off.

"No... I was wrong. I hope you can forgive me. I want to know, would you be willing to give me a second chance, I understand if you hate me." Ruby said with an unsteady breath and cracking voice.

"Ruby... I'm not going to deny that I miss you. But I just got over you until I saw you on the airship. I don't think I'm ready to give you a second chance but I am more than happy to stick to being friends." You said nervously.

"I understand. I'll take you up on that offer. Friends it is?" She said with slight disappointment.

"Yeah. Friends it is." You said, then you saw Yang give off her signature death stare, but only for a second before smiling at what you said last off.

Ruby wasn't ready to get closer to you yet, so she nodded and went back inside. Kirito, Klein, Asuna and Lisbeth came out and crossed paths with the blonde and red head again. They saw you standing with your back towards them, staring at the sky.

"Y/N? I take it she found out?" Lisbeth asked nervously.

"Yeah. She did. She asked for a second chance, but in the end we decided to stick to friends." You said as you turned to look at them.
