New Reality

Kirito looked back to the Beringal that attacked everyone earlier, and saw that it is disintegrating into a cloud of black smoke, with rose petals bleeding from the wounds. Then he realised the scorpion following a girl. Ruby rushed in to face the Deathstalker head on.

"Ruby! No!" You and Yang shouted desperately, but it was too late. She already rushed in the direction of it. The creature blocked and knocked her back with one of it's pincers. She then shot it in the head twice, but with no effect. She tried to dash back to safety, but failed as the bird fired off some feathers to impale Ruby. As Yang rushed over to her, you attempted to possess the Deathstalker.

You focused on it, but it failed. You deperately tried again, but failed and jolted back, you kept on trying to the point where you collapsed, holding your head in pain from trying.

"Y/N!? What's wrong? You have to go save her!" Lisbeth yelped in desperation.

"I - I can't! I tried possessing the creature to free her, but to no avail." As you said this, you saw a white blur followed by a rush of wind, then saw Weiss freeze the Deathstalkers stinger in place. She proceeded to cut Ruby loose.

You grabbed a relic, followed by Kirito, Lisbeth, and the others. Then you saw two of your other good friends from Signal arrive from the trees.

"Yo Y/N! Fancy seeing you here!" Chloe said excitedly.

"Hey Chloe. How you doing Elizabeth?" You said to the second girl.

"Y/N! How you doing? And Ruby?" She asked happily.

"I'll fill you in later. Right now there's a Nevermore and a Deathstalker to deal with." You said sternly. They nodded and grabbed a relic.

You signalled everyone to proceed while you hold the creature back long enough for them to deal with the Deathstalker. They nodded, but Kirito, Lisbeth, Klein, Asuna, Elizabeth, Hyde, and Chloe stayed behind to help you fight.

"You sure you want to do this?" You asked defensively.

"We wouldn't be here if we weren't." Asuna said with a cheeky smirk.

Just then the creature broke free. Kirito and Klein charged forward first, while Chloe, Elizabeth, and Hyde used their firearms to keep it distracted, while you and the others flanked it around the back.
You managed to land a few solid shots but got knocked back. It forced you and the others so far back, you could see the ongoing fight with the Nevermore.
You called a retreat as you were just exhausting yourself and wasting aura.

Kirito lead it to the others, and distracted it while Ren took the advantage to jump on it and partially sever the stinger, as a result he got thrown against a pillar which knocked his wind out.

"Pyrrha!" Jaune yelled in the heat of battle.

"On it!" She replied instantly as she threw her shield, severing the stinger.

"Nora! Nail it!" He yelled again as Nora jumped on Pyrrha's shield and shot herself upwards with her grenade launcher. She came down and hammered the stinger through the Deathstalker. It collapsed and fell down the cliff.

"Stay back guys! Let the others equipped with ranged weapons take this from here." You said.

"I have spells!" Asuna yelped. She desperately wanted to help.

"Go then. Everyone without firearms or any other ranged attack, stay back!" You ordered confidently.

Although Kirito and his friends were reluctant, they stayed on the sidelines and watched as the creature destroyed the beam that everyone was on.

"Asuna!" Kirito yelled sorrowfully.

A few seconds later he saw everyone platforming across the falling debris and jump onto a neighbouring beam.

"I have a plan!" Ruby shouted to everyone. They seemed to get it instantly just by eye contact.

Yang and Blake made a giant slingshot using Blakes ribbon. While Weiss froze the creatures tail to the cliffside, while Asuna waited to weaken and shatter the ice.

Ruby jumped on her scythe, balancing on the ribbon. Weiss came up next to her and got ready to take the shot. As she got her aim right, she released, causing a shockwave behind Ruby, while sending her flying towards the creature. At the last second, Asuna destroyed the ice formation and Ruby caught it by the throat. Weiss made glyphs up the hill, and Ruby drug it up to the top then severed the head from the creature.

"What was that!?" Kirito and Klein whispered in awe as the others stood there awestruck.

Timeskip to Team Assignments.

"Blake Belladonna, Weiss Schnee, Yang Xio Long, Ruby Rose. The four of you collected the white knight pieces. From this day on you shall be known as team RWBY, the leader being Ruby Rose." Ozpin announced monotonously.

"Cardin Winchester, Russel Thrush, Dove Bronzewing, Sky Lark. You four collected the white Bishop. From this day fourth you shall be known as team CRDL, with the leader being Cardin Winchester." Ozpin said monotonously.

"Lie Ren, Nora Valkyrie, Jaune Arc, Pyrrha Nikos. The four of you collected the white Rook piece. From this day fourth you shall be known as team JNPR, with the leader being Jaune Arc." Ozpin once again spoke monotonously.

"Y/N L/N, Hyde Rider, Chloe Snow Elizabeth Odinson. The four of you collected the white King piece. From this day fourth you shall be known as team CH_E. With the leader being Chloe Snow."

"Kirito Kirigaya, Klein Ryoutarou Asuna Yuuki, Lisbeth Rika. You four collected the white Queen piece, from this day on you shall be known as team KKAL. Your team leader is Kirito Kirigaya." Ozpin said again, in a monotonous tone.

After the ceremony, your team and Kirito's team met up to hang out.

"So your'e the leader, huh?" Chloe asked casually.

"Yeah where does he come up with these names though? I mean, KKAL, pronounced Call? I'm not complaining. I simply mean it takes a great imagination to come up with these names." Kirito replied with a chuckle.

"Maybe it's a sign." Lisbeth said, which was deep, no doubt

"Yeah, maybe it's a sign you have a calling?" Elizabeth replied with a chuckle.

"You always liked making deep conversations." You teased with a laugh.

"That's right, judge me!" She said in an overly dramatic voice.

"Haha, I guess I'll catch you guys later. I don't know about you, but I'm pretty dead after todays 'initiation'." You said while chuckling.

"Yeah. Want to meet up at this table everytime from now on? Just the eight of us?" Asuna asked with an innocent smile.

"I don't see why not." You said with a smirk as you walked off.

"Damn Asuna is nice. But she has a boyfriend, I respect that and won't intervene. Though if I had a chance with her though" your thoughts trailed off as you thought about Asuna all night.

"Dude just sleep. You're not getting her, and no way will you steal her from Kirito." You kept thinking to yourself until you drifted off to sleep.
