Asuna walked around until she finally found someone to give her directions to the shooting range behind the school, despite all her time here, she never once went around the area of the range. She only heard of it. While she walked through the maze of classes, she begun to hear gunshots.
"I suppose that's the shooting range." She thought to herself as she walked towards the gunshots.
When she arrived she saw you and Kirito having fun, challenging each other to see who can clear targets the fastest and with the best accuracy. Kirito felt like someone was looking at him and so did you, so you both looked up. Asuna ducked behind the wall by the entrance as she held her mouth, stopping her from gasping and crying too loudly.
She sunk to the floor, sitting against the wall and sobbed as she feared the consequences of what's going to happen. She never thought she would have to think so hard on something like this and it's tearing her apart from within.
"I'm just about done practicing for today. Ready to pack up and call it a day?" You asked casually.
"Sure. Shooting really takes a toll on your wrists eventually, especially since it's such a high... caliber?" He asked, still unclear on the terms used for firearms.
"Yeah, that's right. It's actually one of the stronger rounds of handgun rounds. If you shot a normal nine millimetre you wouldn't get so tired around the wrists as quickly. But the more you practice, the more you can handle and shoot that type of firearm until it basically becomes like second nature." You said with a chuckle.
"Interesting. That was really fun though, thanks for showing me how to handle a gun." He said with gratitude.
"And thank you for helping me take my mind off recently, it was awesome to hangout." You said with a smile.
As you and him exited, you saw Asuna sitting under a tree, she seems upset so you and Kirito went up to see her. When you got there you could see she had been crying quite a bit.
(Cue song: At Our Parting. Please bare with me for using the same song between two episodes.)
"Asuna? What's wrong?" Kirito asked caringly.
"Kirito... can I please talk to you privately..." She asked, crying even more.
"Yes! What's the matter?" He asked anxiously as he quickly went to tell you something. "I'll catch up with you later. Sorry to cut it short like-"
"It's cool dude. I hope she's alright." You said understandably, worried about what happened as you walked away.
He quickly turned and went back to his girlfriend, who is crying more and more as she saw what could potentially be ruined at what she is about to say. After making sure she coast is clear, she begun.
"Kirito... I'm so sorry..." She started.
"What for?" He asked nervously.
"Please... please don't be angry with me okay? O - Or anyone else, okay..." She stuttered, sobbing in between her words.
"Why would I? Please, tell me what's wrong so I can help..." He responded, feeling really sad about his girlfriends state.
"I... I - I've fallen in love with Y/N... please don't hate him! I haven't even told him yet..." She cried terribly.
"What... no! Please, I love you, and I don't want to lose you! Please, think about it!" He said sadly, in denial of the situation.
"I'm sorry... I've felt this way for a while and I really didn't know how to tell you without driving you and him apart. I know you're good friends with him and our memories together make it harder for me, but I have to go..." She cried horribly.
