Remnant's Sword (Male Reader x Asuna Yuuki)

First Mission

You watched as Cardin got beaten by his friends, then Glynda marched in looking furious. She used her telekinesis to separate the raging students from Cardin.

A few weeks later:

Team CH_E and KKAL were called to Ozpins office, and you started stressing because you thought they investigated and found out you are to blame for the fight between CRDL.

"Do you know why I called you here?" He asked casually.

"No?" You asked cautiously.

"I have a mission assignment for you. I know mission assignments aren't until later this year, but seeing your skills, you seem capable of doing this." He begun talking cryptically.

"What mission?" You asked bluntly. You wanted the facts straight out.

"Juvenile delinquent Rose Bronzewing who happens to have been expelled from Sanctum and sent here for her sentence, has escaped and already killed a police officer. She is wanted dead or alive. From what we know, her semblence is Pyrokinesis. She is also a skilled dual hammer wielder and uses dual handguns in emergencies. Are you up for this task?" Ozpin asked casually, while handing over a picture of the girl to study it.

"I'll do it. You guys in?" You asked confidently.

"We coming with. Sounds like she is a dangerous individual." Your team and Kiritos team said in unison, save for Asuna and Elizabeth.

"Very well then, your airship will leave in twenty minutes. And don't worry about your grades, any work or tests you miss in a rare occasion like this will be accounted for and you will not lose marks for this situation." Ozpin said, which caused Asuna'sand Elizabeths expressions to change from one of stress to one of relief.

Timeskip to the mission zone:

You just got dropped off at the zone, and your team saw the girl come out from an alleyway. You followed her discreetly until she got out of a the city. Then she suddenly turned around and saw you and your seven friends.

"If you've come to hand me in, you've made a foolish mistake." She said calmly.

"And if you had just served out your sentence, we wouldn't be here." You responded cheekily.

"Back away, or I will strike you down!" She yelled aggressively.

"If you won't back down, how about we get straight to the point?" Kirito remarked defensively.

Everything went silent, then she suddely threw a fireball at Asuna before she could react, and Lisbeth instinctively created a shield in front of her. Rose drew her hammers and charged in directly, and Kirito had a flashback.

(Cue song: Unravel- English Cover)

"I remember this strategy from SAO! This is the same technique that got me killed in the final boss" Kirito thought to himself as he got flashbacks.

"Kirito, watch out!" Asuna yelled.

As he snapped back to reality, he failed to avoid a hammer swing and took one in the guts. Asuna cast a healing spell because he failed to activate his aura.
You charged in and landed two hits on her before she flipped over you and kicked you away, while simultaneously casting a fireball directly into Chloe, sending her flying through a tree. Elizabeth and Klein charged in next, and she ducked and swept their feet out from under them, following up by jumping into the air, spinning and slamming her hammers into their stomaches. Asuna and Hyde came in next, dodging several hammer strikes before Hyde used his AR-15 equipped with a bayonet to get a few good slashes into her. He managed to knock her into the air, and shoot a few rounds into her.

You came back into the fight and got your swords out, you ducked under a hammer swing and hit her with the hilt of the sword, then hooked the collapsable shield around her neck and pulled her to the ground. She flipped around and cast a stream of flames in a circle. Lisbeth managed to cover herself, and worried about the rest of you until she saw Asuna counter by casting a fire resistance spell over everyone.

Kirito suddenly levitated and released a lightning ball. It electrocuted everyone, including his teammates. He then collapsed to his knees. After a while, they all staggered to their feet and quickly regained their bearings.

Klein charged in again, and cut her five times across the chest. She parried the last one and kicked him back. Asuna cast her Spear Rain spell and drained Rose's aura, as it shattered, a spear hit her in the leg, which kept her grounded.

"Stay away! I will shoot!" She said as her hammers turned into two handguns.

"Drop the weapons!" Hyde yelled as he aimed his AR-15 at her.

The other gun wielders aimed their weapons at her, while the melee users did the same with their weapons.

She dropped the one gun, then suddenly turned and shot Kirito and Lisbeth in the stomache.

"NO!" Hyde shouted as he shot her in the head twice, killing her.

"Kirito! Lisbeth!" Asuna and Klein yelled and ran to them, while the rest collapsed and stared in shock.

"You're bleeding!" Asuna yelped in shock. As blood ran out of Kiritos mouth, he coughed as cradled Asunas face.

"Nonono! Don't do this to me!" Asuna yelled in sorrow and rage.

"I love you" Kirito said with pain in his voice. This shattered Asuna into pieces.

"There's still time!" You yelled as you ran over and put pressure on his wounds. You started transferring your aura to him.

(End song)

"He's stabilising!" Klein shouted.

"Asuna! How much aura do you have left!?" You said desperately.

"It's in the yellow!" She yelled.

"Chloe, Elizabeth, Asuna! Go transfer your aura to Lisbeth! It's her only hope!" You growled in frustration.

"How!?" Asuna yelled as Chloe ran and applied pressure to Lisbeths wound.

"Place your hands on her, and imagine your aura like a river, flowing through your arms, into your hands, and into Lisbeth!" You said in a hurry.

They ran and did just that, and soon enough, , Asuna saw a red/white glow around her hands. Chloe and Elizabeth already started the aura transfer.

"She's starting to stabilise." Hyde said in relief.

"Klein! Call for emergency evac!" Hyde said in a panic as he monitored Kiritos vitals.

After fifteen minutes, the emergency airship arrived, and paramedics from Beacon arrived to take them to the infirmary.
