As Suzuki predicted, moving around Shujin was easy as the prep rally continued.

For once, Kamoshida's selfless and arrogant ways seemed to benefit the group. With the ongoing volleyball event, Suzuki could easily sneak into the school without consequence. He sent a quick text to Ryuji and Akira before climbing up the stairs to the second floor.

@ SUZUKI: Heading to the SC room

@ SUZUKI: How's it going on your guys end?

@ AKIRA: Nothing major

@ AKIRA: Ryuji and I will stay here. So you should be free to look around

With a final response, Suzuki sent the 'ok' emoji, before placing his phone into his hoodie pocket. Once he looked up from his phone, he found himself standing at the end of the stairs, officially on the second floor.

For a moment, his eyes looked around. As expected, the halls were completely empty. Without wasting another second, Suzuki briskly walked over to the Student Council door.

With one more quick look around, he checked if anyone could be witness to his acts. Seeing no one, he opened the door, leaving what he thought was going to be an empty room.

With a soft thud, the door opened. The lone person inside the office quickly directed her attention to Suzuki, as he stood there.

"Niijima-san..."

Suzuki muttered, looking at the girl somewhat surprised. Like everyone else, he had simply assumed that she would have joined everyone at the rally.

Her presence threw an undeniable hurdle into the group's plan of gathering information. Silence quickly bubbled up between the two as she simply took in his casual and laid back appearance.

After only a brief pause, Suzuki quickly regained his composure. He knew if he began to act suspicious now, the young lady in front of him would never leave him be.

He clicked his tongue against his teeth as he shut the door behind him. "Why aren't you out there at the rally?" Suzuki questioned as Makoto closed her book.

"Rather, I should be asking you the questions." She pointed out as she stood up, pushing the chair she had been sitting on back with her knees. "I'm sure you didn't come here just to see my face." Her gaze shifted towards Suzuki as she spoke her logical words.

Suzuki let out a weak chuckle, a small smile ghosting on his lips. He shrugged. "I suppose not."

Silence once again filled the air as he looked at her, his head slightly cocked to the side as they examined one another. "More importantly, where is your uniform?" Makoto questioned, voicing the question that had been echoing in her head since he stepped foot into the office.
