Following Akira's lead, they climbed onto the roof of a nearby truck and hopped onto the low part of the wall.
"This is really how he thinks of that run-down shack...? It's overwhelmingly shiny." Morgana commented as Suzuki held Ann climb to the top with the rest of them.
Once on the top, Ann nodded her head. Compared to the darken, blue sky, the golden building was hard to miss. "It's just not hitting me that this is that old guy's palace." She added with a soft sigh.
Madarame seemed so modest and humble, but that was all nothing more than a farace. Soon enough, everyone would know that.
"That's why we're here, right? C'mon, let's go check it out." Ryuji said, making everyone refocus on the task at hand.
One by one, they jumped down from the wall and landed in what looked to be a hedge maze/garden. There was a well kept walkway, with high hedges that kept the other side completely hidden. Alongside the path, lights had been placed, although they didn't help brighten the place much.
They walked towards the end of the pathway, to a dead end. However, instead of ending it there, they worked their way up the hedge wall. Madarame's extravagant taste was working in their favor.
For some reason, the man had decided to put random columns throughout the maze, which worked as perfect little stepping stones for the thieves.
With ease, they jumped from column to column until they reached the exterior wall. They used the extruding sections as stairs before climbing up to the roof of the lowest section of the museum.
"Ooh! The skylight's open!" Ryuji pointed out as an opened roof panel caught his eye. "I think we can get in here." He added as he approached the area.
It was just like he said. There was a single open panel which led into the building. It seemed like the best option so far, but there was only one problem.
"It's a pretty far drop..." Ann commented with a slight frown. "Will we be able to get back out this way?" She asked as she looked down at the drop. It definitely wouldn't have been easy trying to shimmy their way back up to the roof.
Morgana let out a chuckle. "Hehe, don't worry... I have a rope!" He proclaimed as he pulled out the long rope he had been saving for exact moments like this. "I'm our tool specialist, after all!" He cheered, a satisfied smile on his face.
He then turned towards Akira. "So, what's your call, Joker? Want to head inside?" He asked.
"Let's do it." Akira replied. Morgana nodded in acknowledgement before tossing the lengthy rope down. He tied down one end securely before giving the thumbs up.
First it was Akira, then Morgana, Ann, Ryuji and Suzuki.
As they hoped, it was a completely empty room. Art lined the walls, as expected. It definitely fit the bill of a museum.
