Maybe it was fate, or maybe it was happenstance, but Blinky couldn't help thinking about Aargh more and more often. The two very very close in almost every waking hour, and now Blinky was hyper aware of every small thing- Aargh's breath on the back of his neck, his hand on Blinky's arm when he wanted his attention, his little teasing nips- it was almost too much for him to handle.
But did Aargh feel the same way? Blinky would never consider himself a skilled romantic, but Aargh could never be too secretive about anything for long. He always gave Blinky his full attention when the smaller troll was speaking, even if he was talking about something that Aargh didn't understand. Aargh also tried to touch Blinky whenever possible, whether it was standing super close or licking his hair or any other number of small things that all added up to one very big thing. Finally, the two shared their feelings and touched their horns together, the equivalent of a first kiss- hesitant and fumbling, but with a sense of affection and relief that their feelings were reciprocated.
No matter how obvious the two became over the weeks and months that followed, Dictatious remained steadfastly oblivious. He kept nagging Blinky about finding a partner, even when he and Aargh were obviously cuddling in a not-so-straight manner. Finally, when Dictatatious had brought up the subject three times in one day, Blinky had had enough.
"Seriously, how thick are you?"
Dictatious blinked in surprise. "Whatever do you mean?"
Blinky groaned. He hated having to explain his feelings, especially when it seemed like everyone else had figured it out.
"I'm gay, Dictatious. I've been with Aargh for almost a year now."
The greenish troll sat silent for a minute before closing his book with a decisive snap. He got to his feet, not looking at Blinky.
"Brother, I-"
"Don't. I had suspected, but now I wish I had acted before it was too late. I want you out of here by tomorrow. I won't be associated with a brother that is so weak that he can't even be normal."
Dictatious slammed the door behind him.
