It was much, much later. Blinky's loss still hurt, but it was a dull ache that could be shoved away into the back of his mind, sometimes even forgotten for a little while. He had moved on with Aargh's help, and the two had managed to make a happy life for themselves.

Just when Blinky thought he couldn't be happier, Jim had came along. Aargh and Blinky had never had any luck having children, and Jim was the perfect surrogate son for Blinky.

Jim was such a wonderful boy, and with the support of his friends and troll dads he had turned into an amazing troll hunter. It had gone so well for so long... then Jim, bless the poor boy, had gone off to the darklands to rescue the little brother of his dear Claire.

Blinky had been sick with worry for the two weeks that Jim was gone. He had written off his vomiting, headaches, and dizziness as nerves, so perhaps that's how neither he nor Aargh noticed that there was something more going on.

Aargh was hanging chained from the ceiling, helpless as Dictatious came for Blinky with his wickedly sharp spear. "I thought you were dead. I mourned you!" Dictatious shrugged haughtily, a disturbed smile stretched across his face. "You think I cared about how my loser of a brother would feel?"

Dictatious advanced until he and Blinky stood face to face, only inches apart. The older troll inhaled deeply and frowned, puzzled for a minute, before grinning savagely. "You smell different Blinkous. Guess I'll get to kill three today, instead of just you and your pathetic oaf of a mate."

As the two fought, Blinky was puzzled, until he put together his brother's meaning. The blue troll's eyes widened and he fought even harder, now knowing that he wasn't fighting just for his own life now, but for the life of his and Aargh's child. This was bad; Dictatious was stronger and he knew it.

Blinky finally seized his flare and shoved it desperately into Dictatious's eyes, blinding his brother.

"Gah! You blinded me you little brat!" Then Blinky was scrambling, back to freeing his mate and away, away from his brother. He looked back, feeling a pang of regret when he saw his brother's washed out eyes. The blue troll quickly squashed it, however, when he thought about the startling news- that he and Aargh would have a child.

"Let us find Master Jim and the others." Aargh frowned and Blinky Blinky stopped him before he could argue. "I'll leave right after, but I won't leave them to die."

*Kinda short but there'll be more. Finally got to baby time!!*
