Bullies

My heart stopped. Gino. What was he doing here? I did a duet with him and I had to kiss him when we were young. He liked me back then.

"Maddie... Maddie?" Kendall said, trying to get my attention.

"Sorry. Daydreaming." I said.

We kept walking and I looked over at Gino again.

Paige walked up to Gino and kissed him. He smiled and they walked inside hand in hand. I don't know why, but I felt jealous. I forgot they started dating.

I went to my locker and Kendall went to hers.

12 right, 21 left, 3 right.

I pulled on my lock as I heard a familiar voice.

"Well isn't it little miss Maddie? Still on welfare?"

I looked up.

Ugh. Chloe.

Then Paige walked up, too. I rolled my eyes and grabbed my books.

"I saw the way you looked at Gino. Stay away from him, Ziegler." Paige backed me up with her finger.

I nodded and scurried away.

Kendall met up with me and she noticed I was upset.

"Maddie... I saw Paige and Chloe bullying you." Kendall said worriedly.

"Kendall I-" I began.

"No Maddie. You need to put a stop to this!"

I scoffed.

"Excuse me? Who are you to tell me what to do?" I said angrily.

"Don't freak out, I'm just trying to help you!" She spat.

"Whatever Kendall."

The bell rang and I ran off to home room. I lost Kendall in the crowd.
