-one week later-
"Maddie... Wake up... Maaaddiiee..." I whispered as I knelt beside the bed.
She flinched a little bit and fluttered her eyes open. She smiled as kissed me softly.
I chuckled.
"Happy birthday baby!" I said as she got out of bed.
"Thanks babe." She said as she kissed me again.
We rested our foreheads against each other's for a little bit. We weren't officially together, but we kind of are. It's confusing.
"Will you be my girlfriend Maddie?" I blurted out.
She smiled.
"Yes, Gino."
"Good. Now go get dressed." I said.
"Where are we going?"
I chuckled.
"Maddie, it's your birthday! So, dress nice." I said.
She nodded and walked into the bathroom.
I'm so lucky.
