They walked through the forest Jack swinging his stick while Coralline just looked around curiously.

"Where are we going?"

"Just keep walking I'll show you"

They approached a tree with little symbols carved into it.

"What-"

"It's my quiet place I think we should share it ya know with you having anxiety and all"

Coralline smiled softly ruffling his hair.

"You try to hard"

Jack just smiles

"Maybe I do"

They laughed

The two sat leaning against each other while the rain drizzled

"You seem much scarier than you are"

"Exterior is much different than the actual person"

Jack thought about what she said for a moment and nodded

"What are you doing?"

Jack didn't say anything continuing to knot the flowers together putting it on Corallines head and then making his own

"Not so scary anymore ey?"

"I guess not"

"A.J was saying something about how we stick to each other like glue and how one of is not well us without the other"

Coralline thought for a moment

"He's right in a way"

Jack shrugged letting coralline put flowers in his hair

"Flowers"

"Huh?"

"It symbolizes us in a way"

Jack nodded

"Guess it does, I'm the stem and you're the flower. On couldn't be without the other"

Jack carved a flower into the tree they claimed as theirs

"Dad said something about me getting a girl or whatever so I wouldn't "be lonely"

"I don't think you need a girlfriend to be happy"

"Exactly!"

Coralline chuckled watching him angrily carve

"Come on Jackie don't you at least think you should live with someone?"

"Yeah, you"

Coralline grabbed her anger gremlins hand as he punched the tree

"Jack calm down it's gonna be alright"

Jack whimpered and laid down putting his head in her lap

"But-"

"No it's gonna be okay I promise you're not gonna get hurt on my watch"

Jack nodded whimpering more

"Your hand hurts now huh?"

"Yeah.."

Coralline reached for the first aid that they now stored right next to the tree just for Jack wrapping his hand up"

"AND THEN THAT FUCKER SAID I WAS NOTHING WITHOUT YOU BY MY SIDE SO I-"

Coraline laughed softly

"Jack"

"I WAS SO CLOSE AND I- huh did you say my name?"

"Yes calm down you angry gremlin"

Jack pouted and rolled his eyes

"Fine."

Jack leaned against the giant tree he used to call his home wiping his eyes

"I still find flowers tucked in my pocket from her only the Lord knows how much I miss her. One is not the same without the other as they say"

He fiddled with the wilted the flower peddles chuckling dryly putting a gun up to his head

"See you on the other side Core"

BOOM

Jack jumped up breathing heavily still crying and shivering

"No no no"

He raced to the tree seeing coralline about to take a lethal dosage of poison

"NO!"
Coralline looked at him she was crying something he's never seen so he raced to her and hugged her

"No please don't..."
