When I saw Ryder at the beach with Aria my heart dropped. Is she with him? Is he her "friend" she stayed with the other night? Does she know about the business we do? Fuck, I needed answers. James tried to calm the situation and she agreed to go out to dinner with us.
Once we left I called my dad first. "Dad I need your help." He sighed "Whats going on son?" I took a deep breath "It's about Aria." "Is everything okay, I like that girl. She's good for you." I gulped prepping to tell him how I fucked up "Well that's the thing. The other night on my birthday I may have screwed up. And I think I lost her for good now. She's been hanging out with Ryder." He paused "Ryder as in our business associate Ryder?" I close my eyes for a second and said "Yeah dad, Look I need him out of her life. You need to help me. I can't loose her." My dad sighs "son what exactly did you do to upset the girl?" I stay silent "Jaxson what did you do?!?" I take a deep breath again trying to get the courage to answer him "I was jealous at the club okay. So I may have danced with another girl and brought her back to the condo with Aria there. And before we even got in the condo Aria left. I think Aria was with Ryder. I don't know how she knows him. But I saw them at the beach together today surfing and hanging out." I could hear my father let out a groan. "Jaxson, you really need to grow the fuck up. If you really like this girl and I hope you do, you can't keep fucking other girls especially flaunting it in her face. I can tell she's not the type to be disrespected like that." "Dad I never fucked the girl, I kicked her out of the condo." "Then why did you bring her back in the first place? It's just as bad." "Okay dad I fucked up, but please can you help me? I need Ryder out of the picture." My dad sighed again "I'll take care of it. You just figure out how to get the girl to forgive you." I sighed in relief "Thank you dad! I owe you big time." "Yes you do now you have the black card. Buy her anything. Hell get her any type of car she wants. Just shower her with all the best and win her back." And he hangs up.
Aria POV:
I'm confused about how Ryder knows Jaxson's family. I met Jaxson's parents and they were actually really nice. My mind is racing overthinking any and all scenarios. I need to stop myself, I'm going to drive myself crazy. It's already 6:30 and James and Jaxson are picking me up at 8pm. I jump in the shower and decide to let my curly hot air dry like usual. I decided to wear a loose casual floral leaf print summer dress. I brushed my hair a few times before it dried letting it dry into a natural wavy look. I put on no makeup and just added chapstick to my lips. It's just a casual dinner with friends anyway.

I go downstairs and realize it's only 7:30. I grab a glass of white wine and sit on the couch. I'm still upset with Jaxson. I really felt myself catching feeling for him especially after meeting his parents. I still can't believe he tricked me into meeting them. But his actions at the club and afterwards showed another side of him I didn't like. And the way he acted that morning while I tried to get my bag out of his condo made it worse. Honestly, we're better off as friends.
